F-35 Joint Strike Fighter worthless?

By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

“Another spy disaster like Pollard, shoved under the rug too long due to pressure from the powerful Israeli lobby.”

On April 21, 2009, the Department of Defense announced the theft of 1.5 terabytes of data on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, the platform meant give the United States and her allies air superiority for the next 40 years.  In a flash, all that was gone, $300 billion dollars of funding down the drain, every system, defense, offense, stealth, everything needed to build one or shoot it down, all gone.  Day one, China was accused but it wasn’t China, it wasn’t Iran, it wasn’t Pakistan.  The theft left a clear signature, one identical to the data Wikileaks has been receiving, sources inside the Pentagon repeating the actions of Israeli-Soviet spy, Jonathan Pollard.  As vital as the F-35 is to America’s defense, Pollard’s triumph on behalf of Soviet Russia and Israel dwarfs the current espionage coup.

Since the 2009 announcement, there has been nothing but silence.

When the theft was announced, Pentagon “damage control” went into action immediately branding the disaster as “unimportant” while scrambling to look for any possible way to “put the toothpaste back into the tube.”  What Secretary Gates came up with was a simple denial and to pretend it never happened.  With the continual efforts by the Israeli government to secure the release of master spy Jonathan Pollard, a “witch hunt” for another Israeli spy would endanger America’s hopes of winning a settlement between Israel and the Palestinians.

There was no real question, this was another Israeli operation, their “signature” was all over it.

What did America lose?  15 years of research and development?  That doesn’t come close.  Key components of the F-35, from stealth materials, flight and weapons systems, to tens of thousands of man-hours of systems programming are now

Carrier at Sea

Additional Risk for U.S. Navy Carriers

“out there,” available to any potential rival, military or commercial.  At best, it could be considered a $300 billion dollar bank robbery, by American standards, nothing new in today’s financial world.

Another spy disaster like Pollard, shoved under the rug too long due to pressure from the powerful Israeli lobby.

At worst, nations whose defense capabilities were decades behind the US can now be at par, as the F-35 was estimated to be “air superiority capable” until at least 2040. Data stolen could make production of a comparable aircraft possible in as little as 36 months, particularly with several projects in the offing, Russia/India and in China, each of which are capable of quickly adapting upgraded systems.

The JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) in its three variants, conventional takeoff/landing (CTOL), carrier variant (CV) and short takeoff/vertical landing (STOLV), are scheduled for production through 2026 with estimates of service life until 2060 and beyond.  Export versions of the F-35, “detuned” are available for American allies, NATO and Israel.  The F-35 delivers more “punch” per dollar than any current “legacy” fighter by a margin of as much as 8 to 1.  The economics of “stealing” the F-35 and auctioning it off, system at a time, is tremendous.

Any nation with a substantial defense industry will have immediately gained a decade or more in, not just stealth fighter/bomber design, but hundreds of areas of science applicable to UAV drones, missiles, including nuclear ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles), and smaller missile systems, not only air defense but against helicopters and armour as well.  Every advanced technology America has is in the F-35 somewhere.

Stealth technology from the F-35 can be adapted to the guidance systems stolen and transferred to China, believed by Israel also, technology that threatens America’s ability to project air superiority through use of its aircraft carriers.  Conventional missiles, not believed capable of “taking out” America’s carriers can be upgraded to defeat air defense systems years from being off the drawing boards.

In March, 1999, on the 4th day of American involvement in the Bosnian war, Serbian forces shot down an F-117 stealth bomber using a Soviet SA 300 air defense system with radar modifications based on data secured through espionage.

YouTube - Veterans Today -

Data on the resonant frequencies of the materials and surfaces of the F-117 made it possible for radar to, not only detect a plane previously believed “invisible’ at a range of 13 kilometers, but to successfully destroy one, an embarrassment the US feels the sting of even today.

The stolen data on the F-35 covers more than simple materials but all jamming and other defensive systems and performance characteristics.  Air defense systems can now be tuned specifically to find only the F-35 if so required.

In 2008, British based BAE Systems, a subcontractor for Lockheed Martin, was discovered to have allowed access to highly classified F-35 technologies through, not only physical access to its facilities but lack of normal computer safeguards.  POGO (Project On Government Oversight), a whistleblower/watchdog group, learned of the Pentagon’s lack of normal project security safeguards and requested a copy of the Inspector General’s security report.  Though documents showed the Pentagon was aware that key weapons systems had been compromised in Britain, well before 2008, security at project facilities in the United States was not brought up to required standards.

Defense Security Service audits from as early as 2001 had not been filed and the agreement with British contractors allowed them to refuse to report to the Department of Defense on an “at will” basis.  In fact, the agreement with Britain contained no guarantees of any kind for security and no functioning authority to limit spying.

Wikileaks are called “leaks.”  Julian Assange darts from country to country, hotel to TV studio, always ahead of the security forces hunting him down, a veritable “Nordic” bin Laden.    Newspapers are peppered with photographs of a boyish face in the uniform of the American army, identified as the potential “leaker.”  The 46,000 intelligence/counter-intelligence officers of the Department of Defense, supplemented by the FBI and 16 other agencies and 40 other departments, more “bodies” than currently serve in Afghanistan, we are told, are unable to rein in this “dangerous duo.”

Documents by the hundreds of thousands are leaked, upon qualified examination, showing careful screening with many documents edited and more selected out of series with careful gaps and omissions.  A single non-commissioned officer, watched 24 hours a day by tens of thousands of security officers and threatened with life in prison, is an unlikely suspect.  However, there has been no mention of any others nor has there been a mention of an investigation of any kind.  In fact, there seems to me no attempt whatsoever to curtail these current leaks.

What does this tell us?

It was never announced when, exactly, the theft of the F-35 data occurred.  The press release was April 21. 2009, long enough after President Bush left office for the blame to evade his administration, one infamous for “leaks” such as the “Scooter” Libby (Liebowitz) “outing” of CIA nuclear proliferation specialist Valerie Plame.

Israeli citizen, Jonathan Pollard, convicted for spying on America and sentenced to life in prison in 1987, is, we believe but can never be sure of, the most successful spy in world history.  As with the F-35, the “cover story” is always carefully deceptive as to not panic the public or cause a lack of confidence, perhaps rightly so, in America’s ability to secure secrets.  Pollard had two primary targets, our nuclear response capability and NATO’s defense capabilities against the Soviet Union.  Both were destroyed by Pollard whose materials were passed through Israel directly to the Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War.

Every weapon design, yes, our stealth aircraft capabilities and our NATO battle plans were among the truckload of papers Pollard sold to Israel, a country where he is considered a national hero.  Pollard may have been our last “paper” spy.  Everything today is electronic and spies who steal American secrets can be compared to unruly chatroom members or video game enthusiasts.

Despite the “cute” attempt by the Department of Defense and Secretary Gates to refer to espionage as “hacking,” there is nothing either innocent or harmless about it.  As all data is formatted for electronic media and secured by firewalls and passwords, all espionage is “hacking.”

The difference between “leaking” and “spying” is semantics.  The goal is the same, destruction of the defense capabilities of the United States, except “spying” pays better.

The people responsible for each, particularly when they access the same systems and overcome the same roadblocks, all requiring the same physical access, are one in the same.  Those who “leak” perform an identical task to those who spy. Those who leak, those who have leaked appear to be, to any reasonable person, exactly the same people who are spying now and who were supporting Pollard.

The first place we look, before new Russian, Indian, Iranian or Chinese version of the F-35 take flight or our first F-35 meets a fiery end is Israel.  No Chinese or Pakistani’s or Iranians have gained by the F-35 espionage “clone” operations styled after “Wikileaks.”  Wikileaks has proven one thing, there is a major spy operation in the Pentagon with broad access.  It is immune to investigation.  Only political power can generate this kind of protection.

Assange is a recipient of information he likely believes is real.  Our investigations prove different.  The Pentagon leaks were carefully edited, thousands of reports were reconstructed and falsified and hundreds of thousands were removed as inconsistent with an unknown political agenda.  This requires full access to Pentagon computer systems, PROMIS software and hundreds of man hours.

It requires, in fact, a broad spy operation inside the Pentagon that enjoys its ability to operate with impunity.  Wikileaks carries an Israeli signature, the leaks damn only Israeli enemies, shield Israeli operations and are time to serve Israeli interests.  Hundreds of Israeli citizens work in the Pentagon.  None of this should be a surprise to anyone.

The F-35 debacle is exactly the same.  Where there was some cursory discussion of investigation Wikileaks, the F-35 thefts were, can we say “forgiven?”

There are some misconceptions in this article that I believe requires some clarity as I am a military analysts as well as a senior software engineer.

First off, the F-35 as a whole is considered a complete “dog”. Like the F-111 that preceded it, it is chock full of new technology that when put all together has produced a very costly aircraft that invariably does not meet its original specifications.

Second, there is no hard proof that such theft was the work of Israeli agents, though under current circumstances it is easy to blame them. The US and Israel have always had a very close working relationship militarily so there is little reason to suspect that Israel would suddenly plan and execute such a highly dangerous covert mission that could subsequently destroy future relations with the US. Now that being said, on the other hand the most pointed piece of evidence for such a claim is the recent sale of F-35s to Israel based on a free-handout from the US government. However, if such a deal was concluded prior to the theft than again one has to question why they would execute such a mission if they were going to receive the equipment anyway. And with expert engineers in Israel who can reverse-engineer such equipment, there is little to support such claims then if the deal preceded the theft.

Individually however, the author has an excellent point that the composite technologies in the F-35 can now promote new threats to the US via black-market sales to “unsavory characters”. Nonetheless, leaving that aside, the United States under George W. Bush and now Barak Obama have done everything in their power to create new enemies for the US in droves. However, this is exactly what is required to keep the Pentagon budgets humming along at their stratospheric levels. And the Pentagon is quite aware at how all this works so they have as much to gain from such a “leak” of such data as the Israelis may have had to steal it…

    • Equalizer  November 7, 2010 at 12:53 pm

      …”if such a deal (such a deal…that’s appropriate) was concluded prior to the theft…why…execute such a mission…”

even tho the jews in israel get the technology for free, they believe the technology may be “watered down”; hence stealing it after the fact just to see if they got everything…call it greedy, shrewd, paranoid, whatever; it happens.

Theft I think not, everything the the USgovernment does is planned along with the Brits they are all very evil. They destroy and kill for power, prifite and control. Death kill except the elite blood line… These people with their black souls will keep doing the same until God returns to restore the earth….
Times will continue to get worse and Obama and the rest of our government, will do the same. The Whitehouse needs to be called the Blackhouse the Democrats and Rep. are all involved in murder and theft of America and the world….this will never change.

Perhaps research and development can take place on the moon. The last two times Ashkenazi Jews tried to go into space was a disaster. The first never made it up and the second never made it back. Hey, I’m just saying…

To paraphrase Tolkien, “not all those who wander are lost” and not all those homeless are really veterans. It’s a great scam.

This is an important article but it poorly written. If there is money out there to support this site I suggest it be earmarked for an editor.

    • Gordon Duff  November 6, 2010 at 10:41 am

Send us money and we will hire one. Suggest you do this: look in today’s New York Times. Read how the “news” is written..
Figure I have about 40 minutes to get something out like this. What I did have is tons of information to sift through…that we had been sitting on for some time. Much of it was too speculative…and…frankly…the truth is far worse than we reported. We stuck to the F 35 only…
Also…have to continually deal with sources that love to talk but don’t want their statements on the record…..or have “sellers remorse” when the truth gets out.
There are alot of scared people out there. You are right about the story…and what you need to be concerned about is WHY nobody picked it up…we waited…I didn’t want to be the one to break it.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn in a speech in Washington in 1975 had this to say of the Soviet system which was deemed worthy of recognition as one of ‘our’ Allies fighting ‘for Democracy’ against the ‘Dictators’ in WW2:

“This was a system which, in time of peace, artificially created a famine causing SIX MILLION PERSONS to die in the Ukraine between 1932 and 1933. They died on the very threshold of Europe. And Europe and the world didn’t even notice it. SIX MILLION PERSONS!” (Alexander Solzhenitsyn Speaks to the West (1978) p 16)

Why are these people and their fate generally unknown in western countries?

Roosevelt’s ally Joseph Stalin was supreme dictator of Russia for almost a quarter of a century, from 1929 until his death in 1953. Soviet Russia under Stalin was a despotic police state that relied on internal espionage and terror.

Stalin’s first Five-Year Plan, before WW2, sought to bring about the ‘collectivization of agriculture’ in accordance with Marx’s Communist Manifesto. When Communism was imposed on Russia, the small farmers known as kulaks, as private property owners, stood in the way. In 1929 Stalin called for ‘the liquidation of the kulaks’, and their small family farms, animals, implements and crops were declared to belong to the state. “Trotsky, Zinoviev and Kamenev (all Jews) had always argued that the peasant would never surrender enough food voluntarily and must, if need be, crushed” (Paul Johnson A History of the Modern World (1983) p 268). The army and secret police were used to enforce the policy. All peasants who resisted were treated with violence – an enormous number were killed or sent to exile in remote areas in the frozen north or the desert steppes. Rather than give up their animals, many peasants killed and ate them. As a result, the number of farm animals in the Soviet Union was catastrophically reduced. The peasants stopped farming.

After a while, the cities started running out of food. Orders were given for grain to be confiscated from the peasants. Those caught trying to reserve food for their families were ‘severely dealt with’. By the winter of 1932-3, virtually no food was left in the countryside. By early March 1933, ‘death on a mass scale really began’. The main farming areas of Russia, particularly in the Ukraine, were utterly devastated. It was a time of great and terrible hunger, a catastrophic man-made famine.

Eugene Lyons was sent to Russia in 1928 as United Press chief correspondent. Arriving as an enthusiastic communist, he experienced the catastrophe at first hand. He described the ‘famine’ in his book Assignment in Utopia (1937):

“Hell broke loose in seventy thousand Russian villages.. A population as large as all of Switzerland’s was stripped clean of all their belongings.. They were herded with bayonets at railroad stations, packed indiscriminately into cattle cars and freight cars and dumped weeks later in the lumber regions of the frozen North, the deserts of central Asia, wherever labor was needed, there to live or die..”.

The famine alone is estimated conservatively to have caused 6 million deaths, almost half of them children. Other millions died from the killings and sickness as a result of the deportations.

Lyons, himself Jewish, credits the Jewish commissar Lazar Kaganovich with the major portion of responsibility for this major crime against humanity:

“Lazar Kaganovich… it was his iron hand that applied Bolshevik mercilessness.” (Lyons, p 578). The Encyclopaedia Britannica says tersely, “(Kaganovich) was one of the small group of Stalin’s top advisors pushing for very high rates of collectivization after 1929.. Within the Politburo, Kaganovich.. led the opposition to Kirov’s proposed concessions to the peasantry and to his attempts to relax the harshness of Stalin’s control..”

Kaganovich died at the ripe old age of 98 in 1991 (Encl. Brit.), ethnically safe from pursuit by the Israeli secret service, the Simon Wiesenthal organization and the New York media-intelligentsia. Shhhh!!!

I’ve checked out the six volumes of Churchill’s Second World War – not a single mention of Nazi ‘gas chambers,’ a ‘genocide’ of the Jews, or of ‘six million’ Jewish victims of the war.

Eisenhower’s Crusade in Europe is a book of 559 pages; Churchill’s Second World War totals 4,448 pages; and De Gaulle’s three-volume Mémoires de guerre is 2,054 pages.

In this mass of writing, which altogether totals 7,061 pages (not including the introductory parts), published from 1948 to 1959, one will find no mention either of Nazi ‘gas chambers,’ a ‘genocide’ of the Jews, or of ‘six million’ Jewish victims of the war.

  10. Dave Ambleton  November 6, 2010 at 9:32 am

    Elie Wiesel vs Encyclopaedia Britannica

Wiesel has been one of the most prominent spokesmen for the very sizeable group of people known as Holocaust survivors. Wiesel has chaired the US Holocaust Memorial Council and has been the recipient of a Congressional Gold Medal and Nobel Peace Prize..

    Time Magazine, March 18 1985:

‘How had he survived two of the most notorious killing fields [Auschwitz and Buchenwald] of the century? “I will never know” Wiesel says. “I was always weak. I never ate. The slightest wind would turn me over. In Buchenwald they sent 10,000 to their deaths every day. I was always in the last hundred near the gate. They stopped. Why?”

Compare this with Encyclopaedia Britannica (1993), under ‘Buchenwald’:

“In World War II it held about 20,000 prisoners.. Although there were no gas chambers, hundreds perished monthly through disease, malnutrition, exhaustion, beatings and executions.”

  11. Dave Ambleton  November 6, 2010 at 9:30 am

Arthur Butz MSc (MIT), PhD (Minnesota), professor of electrical engineering and computer science at Northwestern University in Illinois, wrote a groundbreaking technical and historical analysis and refutation of the Holy-baloney in his book The Hoax of the Twentieth Century (1977).

He gives a wonderful example of the seemingly endless contradictions and ironies evident throughout the entire ‘official’ historiography of the Holocaust.

He quotes Martin Gilbert’s ‘long and copiously annotated study’ Auschwitz and the Allies:

‘Between May 1942 and June 1944, almost none of the messages reaching the west had referred to Auschwitz as the destination of Jewish deportees, or as a killing centre. Nor had the name of Auschwitz made any impression on those who were building up what they believed to be an increasingly comprehensive picture of the fate of the Jews.’ (p 340).

He compares this with the contention of Walter Lacquer in his ‘shorter but also copiously annotated study’ called The Terrible Secret (1980). Lacquer explains that mass exterminations at Auschwitz could not have been concealed, noting that Auschwitz was a ‘veritable archipelago’, that ‘Auschwitz inmates.. were, in fact, dispersed all over Silesia, and.. met with thousands of people’, that ‘hundreds of civilian employees .. worked at Auschwitz’, and that ‘journalists travelled in the General Government [German-controlled Poland] and were bound to hear’, etc. (Lacquer p22-25).

Butz says, ‘I have no quarrel with such observations, as I have made them myself, and on the basis of essentially the same considerations [Butz (1977) pp87f, 92ff].. ..Now the reader of Gilbert, Lacquer and Butz can make a very simple determination. He is being told that (a) in the period May 1942 to June 1944, those interested in such matters had no information of mass gassings at Auschwitz and (b) mass exterminations at Auschwitz could not have been concealed from the world for any significant length of time. The reader.. should assume both claims to be true: There was no information of mass gassings at Auschwitz during the relevant period, and mass gassings could not have been kept secret. Therefore, there were no mass exterminations at Auschwitz.’ (Butz, Context and Perspective in the ‘Holocaust’ Controversy, in the Journal of Historical Review Winter 1982 pp385-386.).

It’s now official – there’s been no actual shortage of Holocaust Survivors:

quotes from The Holocaust Industry by Norman G. Finkelstein of the City University of New York, published by Verso in the year 2000:

‘The Israeli Prime Minister’s office recently put the number of “living Holocaust survivors” at nearly a million.’ (page 83)

‘Much of the literature on Hitler’s Final Solution is worthless as scholarship. Indeed, the field of Holocaust studies is replete with nonsense, if not sheer fraud.’ (p 55).

‘Given the nonsense that is turned out daily by the Holocaust industry, the wonder is that there are so few skeptics’. (p 68).

‘Annual Days of Remembrance of the Holocaust are a national event. All 50 states sponsor commemorations, often in state legislative chambers.. Seven major Holocaust museums dot the American landscape. The centerpiece of this memorialization is the United States Holocaust museum in Washington.. (This) museum’s annual budget is $50 million, of which $30 million is federally subsidized.’ (p72). (This is in spite of the fact that, as he points out on page 32, per capita Jewish income in the US is almost double that of non-Jews). ‘With a reelection campaign looming, Jimmy Carter initiated the (US Holocaust Museum) project to placate Jewish contributors and voters, galled by the president’s recognition of the “legitimate rights” of Palestinians.’ (p 73).

‘The Holocaust may yet turn out to be the “greatest robbery in the history of mankind”.. The Holocaust industry has clearly gone berserk.'(p 138-9).

‘Through its deployment, one of the world’s most formidable military powers, with a horrendous human rights record, has cast itself as a ‘victim’ state, and the most successful ethnic group in the United States has likewise acquired victim status. Considerable benefits accrue to this specious victimhood in particular, immunity to criticism, however justified. ” (p3).

    • Michael J Volz  November 7, 2010 at 2:02 pm

Dave, are you sympathetic with Norm Finkelstein’s holocaust survivor mother’s statement” “with all the holocaust survivors, who did hitler kill?”

      Did she really say that?

Did Finkelstein’s mother tie his diapers too tight? Did Finkelstein’s grandmother tie his mother’s diapers too tight?

Shades of Pollard, the USS Liberty, and selling nuclear secrets to China; any one of these is an act of war. Israel needs wiped off the map.

    Ok American Citizens!

While our Senate is swearing undying love for Israel, their lover is cheating them to the tune of Billions of dollars of OUR money! We give those Jews, Billions in foreign aid. The Jew Bankers around the World got Trillions of our money in bailout money. (It wasn’t a bailout, those so-called trillions lost went somewhere into Jewish coffers!)

Now, these Jew thieves are making us exposed to terrorists! If we don’t supporting these idiots, the World will make us pay for our cowardliness! What Hitler couldn’t finish, the World will finish. Arabs need to grow some balls and finish Israel off for THEIR survival and we need to STAY AWAY from the “cleansing” of the Holy Land.

Am I an Anti-Semite? You bet! It’s my RIGHT to be one!
But, only toward the Jews because they have earned my hatred of them!

    God’s “Chosen People”? Right!
God never said, “For the Jew is a Righteous and Just man.”
God had “chosen” the Jew to be ruled by Satan on Earth!
God knew that the Jew was a vile creature of evil and greed (just look at the situation we are all in now!) It was actually Satan that said, “My Jews will dominate and destroy ALL that oppose them!”

    Believe what you want.
    Hide from the Truth.
You have only your life to lose because of the Jew!

    • Equalizer  November 6, 2010 at 12:40 pm

Anti-semites are people the jews hate, not people that hate the jews. Michael Volz said it here, and that statement says it best.

    • Michael J Volz  November 7, 2010 at 1:56 pm

I didn’t make that up as you know, but it seems to fit my experience as crazy Henry used to say. And that opinion involves no mindless bigotry as far as I can see. I do not hate jews but i sure hate the idea of the USA fighting wars for israel and bankrupting itself in the process.

Ernest Fritz Hollings said a few years ago in more words or less “the war in Iraq is a war for israel and everybody in DC knows it but is afraid to say it” and I agree——that is not the same as mindlessly hating jews even though Norman Finkelstein said “the animus towards the jews is not irrational” which vindicates “grow balls”s statement above to some extent.

    • Equalizer  November 7, 2010 at 2:51 pm

Michael, part of the psychological warfare the defamation league wages on a target (that’s me); includes psychologically turning the target toward HATING THE JEWS.

The league feeds off of this drumming up of hatred, so best to stick close to whatever type of spiritual warfare ammunition you utilize.

Read, “The Ugly Truth About The ADL”.

It is my opinion, the deeper I get into this pile of manure, that many of the “attacks” on jewry (ie shooting at holocaust museum where the black guard was killed) is planned and orchestrated in order to generate sympathy for the jews. The “white supremacist” that did the shooting had been targeted, financially unravelled and emotionally destroyed by the ADL.

These criminals are trying to do the same to me because I am putting pressure on them. What should have been a simple land-use violation by a neighbor turned into what looks like the start of WWIII (to me anyway).

Hopefully, the appellate court will render the correct decision in a month or so.

OBTW, I did think you said that…whoever did, it’s not bigoted it’s factual.

    • Equalizer  November 7, 2010 at 3:22 pm

Now, think about that “all-American” organization called the CIA. What came first the chicken or the egg? I’ll wager the ADL taught the CIA all the “dirty tricks” to create Oklahoma City, Columbine…we could enumerate other TRAGEDYS. All financed by the U.S. taxpayer, well, shake my own hand.

Ah, Mossad…With friends like that, who needs enemies? Bit difficult to define the enemy when they are actually in control of most governments, not just the USA. It is time to regain control. Hang the cost & the accusations (false) of being anti-semitic. A hostile power is exactly that, a hostile power. This is nothing to do with religious viewpoints and everything to do with the people’s national sovereignty of the USA. Enough is enough. I could say things like; “which race has been chased out of every country that they have settled in before ‘modern times’? Why is that? However, the current issue is not from the main religious practise. It is from a nutcase political entity that behaves as the right to do anything they want. Well, they do have nuclear weapons & have stated that they will destroy the world before Isreal is brought down – destroyed. Ummm, what do the people of Isreal think about the situation? Do they support extremisimn? Probably not. But then they are fed a hell of a lot of politcal propaganda. Nazi Germany ring a bell? And to think that they are portrayed to the USA public as an ally in need of help and compassion. Stop the ride, I want to get off. I can identify lunacy when I see it.

  18. OS  November 4, 2010 at 8:31 pm

    Gordon, good story

I am surprised you mentioned BAE systems. Some problems with technology in other country, with summer of 2007 arms deal, and x-company, x-company was purchased by the above company in 2008. But that’s an old story.

    On another note,
How easily this information was obtained, is quite disturbing. One problem today as experienced is when someone believes something is wrong and reports activity; it can bring great trouble for them.

I worked with others abroad and asked this question,”Why is your company partnered with a —– weapons company when they are not in this business?” Their response was to cover their ears and say, “I don’t want to know anything”. I can imagine this happens quite often, people are aware something is not correct, but won’t get involved. And why there’s so many problems with our critical technologies. And Gordan, my profession is Senior Electronics Engineer.

I am sure you observed the same.

    • Gordon Duff  November 4, 2010 at 8:35 pm

I was at the Farnborough show that summer with one of my clients. Our evil Israeli friends were buying me lunch then. How things change.

    • OS  November 4, 2010 at 9:58 pm

Another problem is when agencies receive tips regarding specific technology transfers, and information isn’t shared amongst other agencies, or central organizations. For some reason this remains a problem, continuity within the intelligence community.

    • Penumbra  November 5, 2010 at 12:17 am

Although no loss of continuity in the “real” intelligence community, from tail to tooth as it were, eh OS?

    • OS  November 5, 2010 at 4:03 pm

I have some experience in this area, and not just making a statement. I am talking about the “real” intelligence community and political decisions that “sometimes” derail investigations because of special interest. I am a Senior Electronics Engineer and specialize in infrastructure analysis and operational planning and management, one of the top in this country. Have worked in many countries, and to organize and manage large projects when there’s difficulty in the implementation, and often advanced technology with country wide objectives. Specialty is organizational and technical operations to implement large advanced projects. I have worked and consulted for large corporations to analyze their infrastructure and operations and advise them on issues and correctional measures. Have extensive experience working with engineers and scientist around the world to resolve complex problems.

Feel free to ask any question? What is your interest, organization infrastructures and issues, alternative energy technologies, anti-gravity, other?

The reason for failures is typically due to losses in organizational continuity, based on protocol, procedures and processes, and efficiency in the collection and validation of information for predictive and preventative measures. How fast an organization adjust to changing environments where their efficiency is measured through the collection, validation, and distribution of information to predict and prevent.

juice leaking info out about a plane they just invested billions into

is it 1st of april already?

    • Gordon Duff  November 4, 2010 at 8:36 pm

Serbia had a bit of assistance. If you run the clock back…there was reason for a ‘demo’

    • gonzo  November 6, 2010 at 2:54 pm

Just to clarify – Serbia did not have, nor it has s-300 systems. I think Russia had some spinal problems and was not allowed to sell these defensive systems to Serbia. The shooting down of the f117 was accidental, reportedly because no one told Serbs that f117 was invisible.
Later on – Two more f117 were shot down during the war – one crashed/landed in Bosnia, other in Hungary – but by then, Bosnians and Hungarians were informed about the invisibility feature and didnt bother to take pictures/waste film.

BTW – about ‘Serbia had a bit of assistance’ – whom from? Andora!? Zanzibar!?
Nope Gordon, shooting down those f117 was pure luck and ignorance of Serbs who didnt even know that this was “4th day of American involvement in the Bosnian war” – fn bastards thought US/NATO attacked Serbia for Pit’s sake!

  20. aio  November 4, 2010 at 6:21 pm

“Serbian forces shot down an F-117 stealth bomber using a Soviet SA 300 air defense system”

Fortunately for NATO bomber crews, Serbia didn’t have any S-300, otherwise it would be.. Well, very tragic. Actually, it was outdated S-125 aka SA-3 “Goa”.

  21. tom  November 4, 2010 at 10:05 am

Maybe there is a bright side of this? I mean, look at where “full spectre dominance” brought US. Things like this may be a little help to think twice (or thrice) before starting pointless wars. If it is so, it would be the case to encourage more leaks of this kind, before they start another.

“Despite the “cute” attempt by the Department of Defense and Secretary Gates to refer to espionage as “hacking,” there is nothing either innocent or harmless about it. As all data is formatted for electronic media and secured by firewalls and passwords, all espionage is “hacking.”

The difference between “leaking” and “spying” is semantics. The goal is the same, destruction of the defense capabilities of the United States, except “spying” pays better.” …. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2010/11/02/national-security-alert-f-35-stealth-fighter-spy-cover-up/

    Gordon [Duff], Hi,

You may like to consider the semantic, and the Greater Game Goal of those who both would, and can, successfully Play and Pioneer in Stealthy Virtual Security Fields [Cyber Ranges], that the destruction and/or simple public exposure of attack capabilities and facilities of states and rogue nations and renegade commanders, is the Future AIMission and a SMARTer Beta Program and Project for CyberIntelAIgent Security Command and Control of 21st Century Networks InterNetworking JOINT Applications in Intelligence Community and Communications Spaces …… and Live Operational Virtual Environments and Cloudy Theatres of Mega MetaDataBase Enterprise.

And that is not spying at all, it is a New and QuITe SurReal, Overwhelmingly Lucrative Business which Generates Wealth, which is much better than anything considered valuable and worthy of Payment for Purchase by any Second or Third Party.

  24. Madmax2012  November 3, 2010 at 8:56 pm

So you are saying this was a leak not spying? May the info they got is flawed

  25. Miller  November 3, 2010 at 4:48 pm

This is what I don’t understand about the whole Pollard situation. Israel controls every branch of our government from within, they vicariously control our economy, our politicians must be sanctioned by them to get elected, the media now air-brushes Pollard’s historical significance, they were undeniably co-participants in 9/11, etc…, etc… We haven’t stood up to them even with the AIPAC spies or the Pentagon mole or the rabbi that oversaw the $2.3 trillion looting of the treasury. Yet, somehow it’s supposed to be convincing that this arrogant country that dumps on us continuously, then asks for a raise and to be paid in a more stable currency than our own dollars, is denied the release of Pollard. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pollard hasn’t even been in custody for years but we’re just given the impression that we’re really playing hardball with Israel on this one. The whole thing just sounds fishy. Let’s face it, what Bibi wants, Bibi gets.

    • Michael J Volz  November 4, 2010 at 10:45 am

Don’t underestimate! He deserved execution and is alive. Pollard is the last remnant of American supposed independence from the jews and israel. It is merely a prop standing between USA soldiers serving in American uniform versus IDF auxiliary uniforms which are now being sewn by “guest workers” in israhell.

  26. rachel  November 3, 2010 at 3:48 pm

if america is seen as too strong then there would not be a need to keep funding new systems. also, it would make Israel like it’s not being really threatened and that wouldn’t help thier goals of making the arabs look dangerous.

the other possiblity is the fighter isn’t as good as the previous fighters, it’s a bit slower as I recall, perhaps they decided to start over but needed to leak all this info to destroy what they already done.

of course, if we put all that wasted money into roads and schools we would be far better off at home anyways.

  27. j r  November 3, 2010 at 3:25 pm

The US should follow the Soviet model on dealing with spies. They brutally torture them to death then send the remains back to where they came from. Sends a clear message.

    • Equalizer  November 3, 2010 at 6:50 pm

“brutally torture”…no. Execution would alleviate the “pollard” problem. Legally, the United States may have a right to execute pollard. This would be a better option than releasing him. However, spiritually; I believe killing him would release a demon which would merely invade another.

    • Equalizer  November 6, 2010 at 12:50 pm

“The US should follow the Soviet model on dealing with spies. They brutally torture them to death then send the remains back to where they came from. Sends a clear message.”

That would explain the recent spy exchange with Russia, where they reanimated the dead spies, and all the ones during the Cold War. Ever hear about Checkpoint Charlie? Get out of the house much?

    • Michael J Volz  November 3, 2010 at 2:27 pm

One of their biggest secrets is that they are not very good at inventing things. Plus that, its time consuming and brings with it a lot of trial and error; and frustration.

It’s much “smarter” to wait for the hard work to be finished and then to copy it or steal it—–even improve it later and claim the invention as your own.

A jewish doctor in my town explained to me how a brilliant jewish man invented the israeli Galil “assault” rifle which is of course, really just a “refined” copy of Klashnikov’s AK-47.

Funny thing is that there is no way to make the Galil cheaply (save slave labor) which was one of the AK-47 design objectives, even though it wasn’t realized on the first production. (stamped and welded receivers are theoretically much cheaper than forged and milled receivers).

I of course did not argue with the doctor since he was so sure of himself and I don’t think he really wanted to hear my information—-and I felt I would never win the argument anyway.

    • Equalizer  November 3, 2010 at 4:26 pm

Media in Israel today are rejoicing at the thought of a republican congress at least in the US House. They feel they have control of US media, and now they will control the US House of Representatives. To Israel another Pollard is a small concern.

    • Michael J Volz  November 4, 2010 at 9:32 am

Not to be overly serious, but the jews of course are privy to everyone’s “secrets”. They will know your business OR ELSE————They will make you a loan, get you a USA government job or maybe a prostitute to loosen some lips a little. Threats of physical come next.

Until Israhell was created, they were loyal to no country or “fellow” citizens. Except for Israhell, whose borders they want to expand to include the entire planet, American land is just land —- that’s all! just land!!, Gods’ land ! But of course with respect to Israel it’s a different matter— They will fight tooth and nail for each additional Palestinian olive grove!

This situation is so bad as Gordon’s articles reveal, reinforce and expose, thank God we can still laugh. The best jokes are based on truths most people will verbalize for fear of looking bad! THERE IS A FINE LINE BETWEEN CRYING AND LAUGHING!

    • Michael J Volz  November 4, 2010 at 10:30 am

Freedom, furthermore on a serious note,

The USA is the first country in the world where at least in theory, government is supposed to serve the people not the other way around. The USA is supposed to have no secrets from “it’s” people (at least in theory). That theory still persists (at least in theory) in the form of The FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT which is usually subverted by government officials who think they may know better than the citizen and make information requests as difficult as pulling teeth from a mosquito.

The Founding Fathers knew well intriguers could infiltrate even just noble families in Europe and turn nations into tools of their personal projects, including wars; so they were very careful and suspicious of the money changers who were often doing such “monkey business”, which always involve a lot of secrets.

Perhaps that is why George Washington declined being appointed king of the USA and (all of) America was not divided as spoils by the soldiers of the American Revolution to become hereditary fiefdoms of the soldiers families as had happened in England after the Norman Conquest.

So in theory at least we as American citizens are supposed to be privy to anything the USA, state, local and federal governments are doing.

Unfortunately, there are always people in this world who are experts in giving REALLY GOOD REASONS why this or that should be kept secret! Enter the jews and money changers, and other opportunists of the world who have no respect for the American system and American people.

Perhaps the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT is one of the greatest things to happen in USA history since its founding as it at least confirmed the theory of our government.

In my opinion, government officials at every level of government should be severely punished for dragging their feet on any citizen request for government information, no matter how slyly they seek to impede these citizen requests.

THE BUSINESS OF THE USA (including local) GOVERNMENT IS THE BUSINESS OF EVERY USA CITIZEN. Unfortunately there are legions of “wise”, “smart” people who don’t see it that way———–they will always have a good reason to make this or that secret.

The freedom of Information Act should be amended to provide severe penalties to government employees at all levels for trying to foil a citizens request for information.

    • Equalizer  November 4, 2010 at 9:07 pm

Hi Michael, your post about the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a good one. Unfortunately, the government at all levels likes to throw up road-blocks to citizens attempting to glean information.

A good organization, Judicial Watch, headed by a young man named Tom Fitton has numerous lawsuits against the government for the governments failure to respond to FOIA’s. It would be worth a look to see all the good this D.C. based group does.

Another good organization is The Pacific Legal Foundation. They help fight private property injustices and “big brother”.

    • Michael J Volz  November 7, 2010 at 1:27 pm

Equalizer, do you recommend following jewwatch.com as well as judicialwatch.com?

    • Equalizer  November 7, 2010 at 2:29 pm

Michael, jewwatch.com made me dizzy looking at it! Is there some subliminal psyop going on there???!!

      You crack me up!

Judicial Watch did alert me to the double-dipping California Superior Court Judges (their probably triple and quadriple in this cesspool of a state)in your County, Los Angeles…$200 million pissed down a rat-hole.

In actuality, as I recollect, 33 or 34 counties in california violate this “payout”

    • Michael J Volz  November 7, 2010 at 4:06 pm

Perhaps the format of jewwatch.com could be a little more “snappy”, cool, “awesome”, stylish —-what is the word I’m looking for?

Perhaps Kalvin Klein or Eddy Bauer (whoever the hell he is?) could jazz up the jewwatch site a little? I’m not into “designer goods”.
His white beard doesn’t look much worse than Bernanke”s does it?

I don’t have Larry Dickerstines genius so I can’t verify everything on the jewwatch site; but I am usually more interested in function over form. Is that why I don’t fit in with the American Sheeple? Trust me, I’m gonna try not to walk of the edge of the cliff with them.

    • Michael J Volz  November 7, 2010 at 4:17 pm

Regarding your sensing of a possible “subliminal psyop” going on while looking at the jewwatch.site I think I know what you mean; perhaps it’s an uncomfortable reaction which most people are not familiar with, which accompanies mind deprogramming. It might be best compared to what it would be like going through a time warp in time machine travel or heavy clear air turbulence on any jetliner.

I hope that helps. Try not to be overly concerned when you experience it. It’s also sort of like when a persons hands tremble the first time they read Dr David Dukes site or the astonishment one feels the first time they are called an antisemite by a shill or jewish supremacist!

  31. Doubting Thomas  November 3, 2010 at 12:34 pm

There are a couple of stretches to this story that do not make sense. Why would Israel, through the information received by Pollard, have sold intelligence on American military systems to the Soviet Union? After all, Israel relies heavily on American military products and at the time the Soviet Union was the prime military supplier to Isreal’s potential foes in the middle east.

The second is the extrapolation that because Pollard stole information supposedly on behalf of Israel that this occurrence must have been due to Israel as well is extrapolating the sparse information in the press release to something far beyond. After all why would the US sell to Israel if they thought that the information had been stolen by Israel, and how would it be in Israel’s interest to sell sensitive information regarding vulnerabilities of the aircraft to potential enemies?

    • Gordon Duff  November 3, 2010 at 12:51 pm

Good questions. We know what was stolen and where it went. The facts seem to support the hypothesis that America is a colony of Israel. As to why…you had best ask others. Ask Israel why they chose to sell Pollard’s information to Russia. That is where it all went.
I will not guide you down this path. If you really care to know the truth, you can easily find it out.
Others of us have long ago.
You can choose sources that will tell you anything. My sources are from the FBI and Department of Defense.

    • Al  November 3, 2010 at 1:16 pm

Israel has been buying Russian influence against Iran by selling out to the Russians. The exact reason why Russia voted in favor of sanctioning Iran for Israel. OS, while looking for “Monitions of a Mountain Man: Manna, Money and Me” by David E. Robinson; I discovered another of his books…reminds me of our “chaos” discourse:

“Commercial Redemption: The Hidden Truth” by David E. Robinson:

“In came the twister-the whirling confusion of the Great Depression, the stock market crash, the U.S. Bankrupcy, and the theft of America’s gold-that whisked Dorothy and Toto up into the New Order of the World”…

google it… the yellow brick road leads right to social%&m-communism.

Sure like to believe you are correct but I see no substantive evidence of this. Only speculation and innuendo. Obummer said in Israel he owed his election to the jews and his first foreign policy concern was protection israheel from the evil Persian Empire (Iran).

In fact he made Emanuel his boss.

He was already stuck with Axlerod since they were joined at the hip at birth of the Messiah’s presidency. Why bring in Emanuel (Top mossad agent in North America) in too?? Isn’t Emanuel leaving just because they now have all the nuclear launch codes?

Admiral Blair, General Jones and Charles Freeman all trashed and zionist Petraeus Annointed——————-all the damage done before Emanuel leaves and you think Emanuel was resisted?????
Of course the dual citizen Israelis never really did like Obama (probably because he was schavartse); as they only put him office as a usefull idiot in the first place.

    • Michael J Volz  November 3, 2010 at 2:43 pm

Doubting Thomas, If you truly care for the truth you must revisit the idea that israel is “our best friend”. Until you get over that hump you will be for evermore befuddled.

You have the internet! So you shouldn’t have trouble finding some contrary opinions on that subject!

    • Michael J Volz  November 4, 2010 at 9:16 am

Doubting Thomas, you say: “Pollard stole information ‘SUPPOSEDLY’ on behalf of Israel”

Very admirable that you don’t jump to brash conclusions in your suspicions!

Who else do you suspect as Pollard’s customers on the stolen information? Iceland? Ireland? Greece? Sri Lanka? You need to have a talk with Alan Sabrosky. He came to the definite conclusion that the israeli mossad did 911, even without affidavits requested by Larry Dickerstine who comments on this site.

    • G  November 4, 2010 at 2:30 pm

Israel is not purchasing the F35’s from us, they are a gift from the American taxpayer! The reason they want to steal the info about them is because we were giving them a watered down version and they want all the bells and whistles!

  34. fdsfsgs  November 3, 2010 at 12:35 am

Interesting article. I think you may be oversimplifying Zoltan Dani’s shootdown of the F117. I think you need to confirm if Serbia had S-300s, the experts at Wikipedia do not list Serbia as an operator.

    • Gordon Duff  November 3, 2010 at 2:03 am

am told serbia was NOT the operator

      think korean war

    • Michael J Volz  November 3, 2010 at 2:53 pm

Joe Vialls (in 2004?)said the Iranians already are hosting Russian nuclear armed s-300’s. Could that be true? The American Brass should openly discuss the Sunburn family of cruise missiles and the counter measures for them which they supposedly have in place.

They have not even floated a red herring trial baloon implying effective countermeasures for the supersonic Russian cruise missiles.

I think that is because they don’t have any; so they don’t even want to play that game and they don’t want American Navy “volunteers” and their families to know about the sunburn/yakhont and granit missiles.

    • Chas  November 8, 2010 at 12:56 am

It was a battery of old Serbian-modified SAM-3’s that did it, not S-300s. Russia only had 4 battalions of S-300s in the 90’s. Would they really have deployed them to Serbia? I don’t think so. I know that must hurt but there it is.

It makes no sense to wait for the masses to wise up. They never do. It is up to loyal Americans holding responsible positions to get together and kick out spies, traitors, and plain old-fashioned bribed disloyal bastards. The time has come to call a spade a spade and put the enemy here on the run. When leaders lead, followers follow. You will be surprised at the extent of grass roots sympathy for cleaning house today. There are so many obvious reasons for doing so.

    • Equalizer  November 3, 2010 at 2:20 pm

Why would that be anti-semetic? There are so few semites in Israel; not counting the 11,000 Palestinians being held, most likely, unlawfully, that the charge is ludicrous!

Those poor A-Rab Palestinians. They had no idea anyone hated semites before the jews took over israel.

  39. From Tokyo  November 2, 2010 at 10:51 pm

I’m now, thanks to the above, more aware of Israel’s spy signature. I constantly ask myself what can be done to get rid of the parasites, but I always end up pointing back to the American’s in the gov’t that sold themselves out for a buck. I think if we get rid of those who sell out, it’d be a matter of time before Israel’s influence dies out. The US is the laughing stock of the civilized world (even here in Japan) because we can’t shake a tick off of us. It’s sad. I’m watching my country (the US) being picked apart. It’s like watching a shark go after a giant whale in the ocean, with the water turning red and water foaming, in plain sight, everything visible – from a distance – in slow motion. If the whale would only try to fight back. I wonder if it’ll happen in my lifetime. Shake the spies, shake the parasites, shake those who sold the US out for a buck, and then shake the FED, and the whale will swim again. In the mean time, chomp chomp. It’s a question of time. Thanks for the article above.

    • Michael J Volz  November 3, 2010 at 10:06 am

the really ironic thing here – “what goes around comes around” – is that the same Government which has mercilessly, joyously, and profitably plundered our lives has itself been mercilessly plundered. I am referring to their utterly licentious surveillances, collusioon with the Hollywood film industry and television to thread their plunder into multi-billion-dollar profits as well as mockeries, and repression under colour of ghastly and obscene misnomers such as the Patriot Act and their various Wars On Everything (Drugs, Terror, anything consistent with the nation’s founding heritage, etc.). I’ll be grabbing some property elsewhere in the world while America comes under the knife before long. So the parasite kills its host once again, their alternbative to the normal istorical pattern of getting their various debtors to wipe each other out. Shalom, everyone.

    • voice of reason  November 7, 2010 at 7:12 am

I find it hard to believe how facts are put out as the hard truth in this article, with no sources or quotes given. Where does the author find his information? There is not even a link to the press release which informed the public about the “leak”.

How come the author is so sure there is a link to Isreal? Why doesn’t he share the connection with the reader? And, worst of all, why do so many people believe the author, Gordon Duff, right off the bat? No questions asked. Reminds me of how, every time Fox News reports another of their atrocious, finger-pointing half-truths, hundreds of thousands of Americans will put that argument straight in to their “battle bag”, ready to brandish it at a moments notice against any person who may have something good to say about the current administration.

Also, as a British person who grew up in Germany, I find it offensive and sickening, to say the least, how commenters here will talk about a so-called “holohoax”. Maybe it’s the visits to the concentration camps like Dachau and Auschwitz, seeing pictures of bodies piled high, shivering, not because of the cold winter air, but with the thoughts of what had taken place there many years before. Or maybe it’s the humility and embarrassment which the entire German people carries on it’s shoulders for starting WWII, even though most perpetrators are long dead and gone.

Now matter how one spins it, claiming there was no holocaust is offensive to Germany, to Israel, to all countries involved in defeating Germany during WWII, offensive even to your forefathers, who, 60-odd years ago, marched into said concentration camps and freed them from the hellish atrocities being committed within.

Being a patriot means having respect for your veterans; And claiming that the holocaust is a lie is like telling all those soldiers who fought their way through Germany, Poland and all the other countries where these killing factories were situated, that the stories they came back with are not true.

Knowing that the vast majority of holocaust deniers in this commenting section have never been to Europe makes it even more pathetic.

    • Gordon Duff  November 7, 2010 at 10:08 am

we have reputations. you seem a bit…uninformed. I have a record of being right…pretty well established. Your views aren’t entirely manipulative but your use of language is…showing you have an agenda. If you believe what you write and fail to learn how much our history has been manipulated, you can remain in your fog.
As Israel is now involved in massive crimes against humanity, your opinions have become…clearly offensive and inhumane. You are in denial about the piles of bodies, the destroyed homes and you are purposefully subscribing to falsehood to justify murder.
You are supporting war crimes. I suspect you have never been to….well..where have you been in the middle east?
      Arrogance and ignorance…

    • Gary R.  November 7, 2010 at 11:29 am

After working in Site “R” the Rock for so long, I can tell you sometimes information is put out on purpose to cost the thief’s country billions of dollars only to discover its not the real stuff. This occurs quite frequently, no one person has all the right data for it to be used against you. So much for the conspiricies, just another Area 51 for weak minded folks. The USA is always putting garbage out to detect moles within agencies, this allows them to be captured over the long haul.

    • voice of reason  November 7, 2010 at 11:03 pm

      Hmmm…. great replies, everybody.

First off, I never claimed that Israel hadn’t committed the theft being discussed here. I was merely asking where the sources were. How did you form your opinion if you didn’t have any sources, or if you did – won’t you kindly share them with us?

To be honest with you, I don’t have one shred of respect for the Israeli government. That doesn’t mean to say that I dislike the citizens of Isreal, though.

Secondly, I never claimed that the author was a holocaust denier. I specifically stated “commenters here will talk about a so-called “holohoax””

    • Chas  November 8, 2010 at 12:39 am

    • Gordon Duff  November 8, 2010 at 1:35 am

Serbia Serbia bought 6-10 s-300PMU prior to 1999 NATO bombing campaign. The S-300PMU-1 (Russian C-300ПМУ-1,US DoD designation SA-20A, NATO reporting name SA-20 GARGOYLE) was also introduced in 1992 with the new and larger 48N6 missiles for the first time in a land-based system and introduced all the same performance improvements from the S300FM version including the increased speed, range, TVM guidance and ABM capability. The warhead is slightly smaller than the naval version at 143 kg (315 lb). This version also saw the introduction of the new and more capable 30N6E TOMB STONE radar.

The S-300PMU-1 was introduced in 1999 and for the first time introduces several different kinds of missiles in a single system. In addition to the 5V55R, 48N6E and 48N6E2 missiles the S-300PMU-1 can utilise two new missiles, the 9M96E1 and 9M96E2. Both are significantly smaller than the previous missiles at 330 and 420 kg (728 and 926 lb respectively) and carry smaller 24 kg (53 lb) warhead. The 9M96E1 has an engagement range of 1–40 km (1-25 mi) and the 9M96E2 of 1–120 km (1-75 mi). They are still carried 4 per TEL. Rather than just relying on aerodynamic fins for manoeuvring, they use a gas-dynamic system which allows them to have an excellent probability of kill (Pk) despite the much smaller warhead. The Pk is estimated at 0.7 against a tactical ballistic missile for either missile. The S-300PMU-1 typically uses the 83M6E command and control system, although it is also compatible with the older Baikal-1E and Senezh-M1E CCS command and control systems. The 83M6E system incorporates the 64N6E (BIG BIRD) surveillance/detection radar. The fire control/illumination and guidance radar used is the 30N6E(1), optionally matched with a 76N6 low altitude detection radar and a 96L6E all altitude detection radar. The 83M6E command and control system can control up to 12 TELs, both the self propelled 5P85SE vehicle and the 5P85TE towed launchers. Generally support vehicles are also included, such as the 40V6M tow vehicle, intended for lifting of the antenna post.

The S-300PMU-2 Favorite (Russian C-300ПМУ-2 Фаворит – Favourite, DoD designation SA-20B), introduced in 1997, is an upgrade to the S-300PMU-1 with range extended once again to 195 km (121 mi) with the introduction of the 48N6E2 missile. This system is apparently capable against not just short range ballistic missiles, but now also medium range tactical ballistic missiles. It uses the 83M6E2 command and control system, consisting of the 54K6E2 command post vehicle and the 64N6E2 surveillance/detection radar. It employs the 30N6E2 fire control/illumination and guidance radar. Like the S-300PMU-1, 12 TELs can be controlled, with any mix of 5P85SE2 self propelled and 5P85TE2 trailer launchers. Optionally it can make use of the 96L6E all altitude detection radar and 76N6 low altitude detection radar, just like the S-300PMU-1.

F117 shot down by SA-3a in 1999 (continued)

Oddly, most of the pages that discussed this have been taken down, however there still are some cached . I have no dispute about your summary of the S-300 dev. history, but that in no way proves that it was in Yugo/Serbian hands then during the terror bombing or even now. http://www.burek.com is only an unsubstantiated allegation of (incomplete) deliveries of S-300s to the YAF in ’99 as is spelled out clearly on that page. The word of 3rd+ hand Greek/Cypriot “sources” is not really evidence either – some of these “sources” have also claimed that all those pesky Hezbollah anti-tank gunners in 2006 were actually all russians, too

    • Bill  November 7, 2010 at 1:16 pm

Just another “gift” from the nation that murdered 34 US sailors aboard the Liberty, sent Mossad agents to record their work on 9/11, and steals BILLIONS (in foreign military aid) from the morons in the District of Criminals.

Isreal declares itself to be our friend, but with friends like Isreal, we don’t need enemies. We have enough enemies in our nations capital.
