11 U.S. States to Adopt Canadian Dollar as Their Official Currency!

In a bid to streamline business and tourist transactions, eleven U.S. border states are set to adopt the Canadian dollar as their official currency [effective, July 4th, 2011. Read on for more details.]

So reports Sympatico.ca in a story* which Lorimer Wilson, editor of www.munKNEE.com, has further edited ([  ]), abridged (…) and reformatted below for the sake of clarity and brevity to ensure a fast and easy read. (Please note that this paragraph must be included in any article re-posting to avoid copyright infringement.)  The report goes on to say:

11 Border States Participating

The border states involved include Washington, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont and Maine. [Ironically,] the change… [will come into effect on July 4th of this year].

[Editor’s note: Many experts expect considerable confusion – and expense – will occur with the change. Canada does not have a $1 bill but a coin instead (affectionally referred to by Canucks as a Loonie because of the picture of a Loon on the coin) and also has a $2 coin called the Toonie. Both coins will put considerably more loose chaange in one’s pocket or purse and, conversely, lighten ones wallet. It is also expected that parking meters and toll road collection booths will have to be reconfigured to accept Canadian Loonies and Toonies which probably will result in higher user fees. In addition, vending machines in the states affected will have to be altered to accept Canadian coinage.]

The Currency Surrender of 2012?

U.S. dollar bills will remain in circulation within the aforementioned states…. [until July 1st, 2012 at which time] they will be exchanged [at par] against Canadian coins and bills. All inter-bank commerce and stock exchange trade, however, will be denominated in Canadian dollars as of January 1st 2012. [Some American critics of the change say it is reminiscent of their country’s military defeat in the War of 1812-14 with this change being nothing less than their country’s Currency Surrender of 2012 just 200 years later.]

I suggest US should adopt the Confederate Currency and move in the same direction.

Hey, B.A. Pennsylvania recently became a Southern Border state. Don’t you remember seeing that all over the Internet fish wrappers?

SERIOUSLY?! WTF? I read and follow VeteransToday because I expect NEWS, CURRENT EVENTS, and TRUTH. After reading this I became angry- irate actually- thinking our govt. had failed. Why post this fu.cking farce of a story and put your target audience (veterans and their family) in such a panic thinking of how bad this would be for someone living in one of the 11 states who relies on a disability check. As a matter of fact, I was prepared to call up my local state senators a rip someone’s head off, when I clicked on link in the article and saw the April Fools Day page. Reality check, today is April 21, 2011, Not April 1st. You sir, are a jerk for poor timing in a tasteless joke you tried to pull on the people/ veterans who read your posts. I am trying to convince myself NOT stop following VeteransToday just because of this. Seriously though, what the f_ck response were you hoping to get out of this? I sure as hell didn’t expect the sick panic and anxiety that set in upon reading this.

I guess the lamestream media missed another topic of interest.

So the Upper State take the Canadian Dollar, the lower states take the Peso and by 2013, we adopt the Amero like in the EU that has been denied for the past 5 years since the Bush Administration. All done in secret meetings behind closed doors, like all Government Policy.

What’s the point? It’s all going to be controlled by the same criminal network of banksters tied to the IMF, World Bank, BIS and the Bank or England where most of the important geo-political decisions are made in those same secret meetings.

Oh for Pete’s sake …. how can you possibly take this seriously? Are you this clueless that you would fall for this?
