Here’s Today’s Department of Defense Contract Awards

 

NAVY

AGVIQ, L.L.C.*, Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a maximum amount $100,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-award-fee contract for environmental remediation services for projects at various locations within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic area of responsibility (AOR).  No task orders are being issued at this time.  Work will be performed primarily within the NAVFAC Atlantic AOR which includes Florida (20 percent), Louisiana (20 percent), Texas (20 percent), Mississippi (15 percent), Alaska (10 percent), Georgia (5 percent), South Carolina (5 percent), and Washington (5 percent).  Although principle geographical areas are identified for the contract, the contractor may be required to perform at any Navy or Marine Corps activity in the AOR covered by NAVFAC Atlantic.  Work may also be added and performed anywhere outside of NAVFAC Atlantic’s AOR as required by the government.  The term of the contract is not to exceed 60 months with an expected completion date of April 2017.  Contract funds in the amount of $10,000 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with three proposals received.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-12-D-7004). 

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $28,101,796 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide education training products and services for the Naval Education Training Command in conjunction with Naval Education Training and Professional Development and Technology Center, which works to educate Navy sailors in a variety of ways.  The contractor will be awarded a minimum amount of $3,125 at the time of award.  This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the contract value to $86,367,858.  Work will be performed in Pensacola, Fla. (90 percent), and San Diego, Calif. (10 percent), and is expected to be completed April 6, 2013.  If all options are exercised, work will be completed April 6, 2015.  The applicable fiscal 2012 Operations, Maintenance and Navy contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was an unrestricted, full and open competitive procurement via Navy Electronic Commerce On-line website, with 28 offers were received.  Under a previously awarded multiple award contract, eight were awarded.  This is the ninth award under solicitation N00189-11-R-Z032.  The nine contractors will compete for the task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract.  NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00189-11-D-Z024).

Lockheed Martin Services, Inc., Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $9,951,586 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to staff and maintain the intermediate maintenance activity facility at the Naval Underwater Warfare Center, Keyport Detachment, Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  The contractor will perform maintenance action on about 300 MK48 MOD 6/7 ADCAP torpedoes.  The contractor will be required to perform approximately 25 torpedo turnarounds per month.  Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by April 2013.  Contract funds in the amount of $9,951,586 will expire at the end of the fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-12-C-6401).

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $6,775,647 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-09-C-6206) for the procurement of the Multipurpose Processor and Total Ship Monitoring System spares under the Acoustic Rapid Commercial Off the Shelf Insertion (ARCI) program requirements for fiscal 2012.  The multipurpose processor is used within the ARCI program to improve submarine acoustic processing capability on Seawolf and Virginia class submarines.  ARCI is a sonar system that integrates and improves towed array, hull array, sphere array, and other ship sensor processing.  Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va. (65 percent); Chantilly, Va. (25 percent); and Millersville, Md. (10 percent).  Work is expected to be completed by September 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Accenture National Security Services, L.L.C., Reston, Va., was issued a modification on contract SP4700110A0001-0006.  The award is a fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract with a maximum $16,427,762 for energy convergence systems integration services.  There are no other locations of performance.  Using service is Defense Logistics Agency.  There were 12 General Services Administration eBuy proposals solicited and two responses.  Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012 Defense Working Capital Funds.  The date of performance completion is Nov. 19, 2014.  The Defense Logistics Agency Contracting Services Office Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

FreshPack Produce, Inc.*, Denver, Colo., was issued a fixed-price with economic price adjustment, total set-aside contract with a maximum $37,213,065 for full line fresh fruits and vegetables.  There are no other locations of performance.  Using service is non-Department of Defense, Department of Agriculture School customers.  There was one response to the Web proposal.  Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012 Defense Working Capital Funds.  The date of performance completion is Oct. 5, 2013.  The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPM300-12-D-8114).

BAE Systems, Phoenix, Ariz., was issued a firm-fixed-price contract with a maximum $78,530,843 for various enhanced small arms protective inserts.  There are no other locations of performance.  Using services are Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.  There were five responses to the Defense Logistics Agency Internet Bid Board System proposal.  Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012 Defense Working Capital Funds.  The date of performance completion is Sept. 30, 2013.  The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPM1C1-12-D-1025).
