It’s About the War Stupid!

By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor

Darkest Ohio – (VT) President Obama was elected to end the Bush wars, disband Homeland Security, find our friendly TSA workers something more useful to do and to sell the billions of dollars of unused and worthless airport scanners back to Michael Chertoff and Israel.

Jailing a few war criminals, capping gasoline prices and ending the Federal Reserve fiasco might have been nice.

On the whole, the only things keeping Obama from being a miserable failure are people like Mitt Romney, the entire Bush family and the combination of organized crime, foreign spies and drug runners that were running America under Bush and, to a great extent, still are.

Now we are being told that Mitt Romney is a real contender in the election.  Romney runs over 1000 secret bank accounts in Switzerland and an uncounted number in the Caymans.  In fact, other than inheriting vast wealth and never having had to do a day of real work, Romney may well be scarier than any James Bond bad guy.

It isn’t his religion, though Mormonism is generally seen as political, extremist and even dangerous by a majority of Americans.

Today, we got the following poll results on the war in Afghanistan:

WASHINGTON — Support for the war in Afghanistan has hit a new low and is on par with support for the Vietnam War in the early 1970s, a bad sign for President Barack Obama as he argues that to end the war responsibly the United States must remain in Afghanistan another two years.

Only 27 percent of Americans say they back the war effort, and 66 percent oppose the war, according to an AP-GfK poll released Wednesday.

A November 1971 Harris poll showed a record-high 65 percent of Americans said that continued fighting in Vietnam was “morally wrong.” By that time the United States was already drastically cutting the size of its fighting force in Vietnam on the road to a full withdrawal in 1973.

The 11-year Afghan war has not been highly popular among Americans for many years, but support has dropped off steeply. A year ago, 37 percent favored the war, and in the spring of 2010, support was at 46 percent.

The AP poll does not spell out why people have changed their minds. But the drop-off in support parallels rising casualties, increased attacks on Americans by the Afghan soldiers they are mentoring and inconclusive battlefield gains that have increased security in many areas of the country but have failed to break the Taliban-led insurgency.

About half of those who oppose the war said the continued presence of American troops in Afghanistan is doing more harm than good.

Why do I tie Romney and the GOP to the 27% figure?

Why?

The answer is simple.  We are told that the potential election is nearly a tie but most Americans have never met anyone who would vote for Romney, no matter how much they might hate Barak Obama.  Typically Americans say they would rather eat their own foot than vote for another “rich frat-boy” who has a life, not only uniquely empty of personal accomplishment but, hiding in the background, Romney faces indictment for involvement with Bernie Madoff in an $8.5 billion dollar ponzi scheme.

More and more it looks like Romney was “nominated,” though the real Republican choice, Ron Paul, has far from given up, because Romney is likely to end up in prison long before he could take office.

Mitt Romney, his son Tagg, and Romney’s chief fundraiser, Spencer Zwick, have extensive financial and political ties to three men who allegedly participated in an $8.5 billion Ponzi scheme. A few months after the Ponzi scheme collapsed, a firm financed by Mitt Romney and run by his son and chief fundraiser partnered with the three men and created a new “wealth management business” as a subsidiary.

In an exclusive interview with ThinkProgress, Tagg Romney confirmed their business relationship, but falsely claimed that the men were cleared of any wrongdoing associated with the Ponzi scheme. Tagg Romney told ThinkProgress that his three partners collected about $15,000 from their involvement in the Ponzi scheme. Court documents obtained by ThinkProgress show that the legal proceedings are ongoing and the men made over $1.6 million selling fraudulent CDs to investors.

 The Ponzi Scheme

In 2009, prosecutors announced charges against the Stanford Financial Group, which managed a portfolio of $8.5 billion, for running a “massive, ongoing fraud” against its investors. The Ponzi scheme bust was one of the largest in recent history, second only to Bernie Madoff, who perpetrated a fraud estimated to be around $17 billion. The Stanford Ponzi scheme wiped out the savings of thousands, including many American retirees across the country. In Texas, 1290 people lost their retirement savings because of the Stanford Ponzi scheme; in Louisiana, several hundred reportedly suffered the same fate.

Here is the long and short of it:

  • The 27% that support the war is the entire Republican Party, all the support Romney has.  This isn’t our first “who hates the candidate most” election by far.  Romney is a sure winner here as “most hated candidate” since Newt Gingrich has withdrawn.
  • The “Ponzi Scheme” Romney and his son can look forward to shows signs of Bush family “behind the scenes” dealings.  Bush 41 still wants another unqualified loser of a son to try to finish America off.  Pray for landings of billions of giant unkillable space spiders before such a thing.
  • All those foreign bank accounts have one purpose only, money laundering.  As Americans can’t legally have money in such accounts, Romney is already in “hot water.”  Worse yet, whoever owns those thousands of accounts with $82 billion dollars of unclaimed and untaxed “income” in them, we might assume some of it might be of unsavoury origin

THE ROMNEY PLAN

Plan?  Plan?  As far as any of us can tell, he plans to starve as many Americans to death as possible, deny medical care, create a slave state until we have total rebellion that will lead to the beheading of every American with over a thousand dollars in the bank.

America is that close to revolution if nobody notices.  Why do you think we have passed so many unconstitutional laws, even under “liberal” Obama?

Why in the name of Joseph Smith and his magic gold tablets, why in the name of cowboy Jesus would anyone take another mindless “empty hat” sociopath seriously when the guy we have, brilliant and ruthless, endlessly more popular than congress or the Supreme Court (not saying much there)

Thus, what is the importance of the magic number, “27?”

This is the percentage of Republicans in the United States.  Why do elections turn out differently, one might ask.

During the Cold War, it was the job of the US through a number of agencies, both overt and covert, to assure that popular governments that supported individual rights would consistently lose elections despite massive support.

These old habits have long since come home to roost, as the saying goes.  If you can steal 5 million votes, you can steal 10 million, 20 million, as long as you control the news organizations.

Britain knows about this, the British people, raped by a criminal conspiracy that has infected their government for decades may soon be brushed away.  The exact same criminal conspiracy is active in the US.

There are no free elections in “the West.”

Everything is “rigged.”  This is the nature of the feudal system we try to pass off as “capitalism.”

It is, in reality, crime, not so much organized as compartmentalized.  No one even knows who the top criminals are.

We live in an episode of “The Shadow” or “Green Lantern.”

Today, Mitt Romney is a minor shill for “Mr. Big,” the crime boss who is pulling the strings.

The fear is that Obama may be more of the same.  Our hope is that he is not.  I can’t prove it.

And so it goes….
