Mindless Masses

Mindless Masses is an article about the commentaries of Paul Craig Roberts. Occasionally, intelligent, well-founded but unpopular views can be found on the internet. Those who have missed Paul Craig Roberts should enjoy the benefit of an awakening, rising above the mindless masses through his wisdom.

by Paul Balles

Living in America is becoming very difficult for anyone with a moral conscience, a sense of justice, or a lick of intelligence. –Paul Craig Roberts

“The new tyranny is arising in the West, not in Russia and China. The danger to humanity is in the nuclear button briefcase in the Oval Office and in the brainwashed and militant American (sic) population, the most totally disinformed and ignorant people on earth.”

It’s well-worth following what Roberts has to say. He’s one of the most informed thinkers and writers in America.

Paul Craig Roberts, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury in the Reagan Admin. and confirmed by the US Senate

Roberts was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during President Reagan’s first term. He authored eight books and was Associate Editor of the Wall Street Journal. His numerous academic appointments testify to his scholarship.

His experience and breadth of research provide the broad perspectives found in his articles. Roberts is a no-holds-barred writer.

He’s not a partisan writer. “If I had time to research my writings over the past 30 years, I could find examples of partisan articles in behalf of Republicans and against Democrats. However, political partisanship is not the corpus of my writings.”

Roberts has been a severe critic of the media, though he has contributed to the mainstream media like the Wall Street Journal.

He says, “Anyone who depends on print, TV, or right-wing talk radio media is totally misinformed. The Bush administration has achieved a de facto Ministry of Propaganda.”

Commenting on “Americans who rely on the totally corrupt corporate media have no idea what is happening anywhere on earth, much less at home.”

Focusing on Israel, Roberts ridicules the myth that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East.

“In truth, Israel is a fascist state, one that has been in violation of international law and Christian morality during the entirety of its existence. Yet, in America Israel is a hallowed icon,” he observes.

“Like Bush, Cheney, and Obama, millions of American ‘Christians’ worship Israel and believe it is ‘God’s calling’ for Americans to die for Israel,” Roberts adds.

“Washington cannot exist without conflict. Now that the ‘Muslim threat’ is wearing thin, Washington is stirring up a conflict with China,” argues Roberts.

“China will be presented by Washington and its prostitute media, especially the New York Times, Washington Post, and Murdoch’s collection of whores, as the rising threat to America,” Roberts predicts.

“The US government relies on secret evidence in its cases against alleged terrorists, claiming that national security would be threatened if the evidence were revealed. This is abject nonsense,” concludes Roberts.

“To the contrary, not presenting evidence jeopardizes the security of each and every one of us. Once the government can convict defendants on the basis of secret evidence, even the concept of a fair trial will disappear.”

Roberts challenges mainstream dogma about 9/11: “Having bought the government’s 9/11 conspiracy theory, Americans just want someone to pay. They don’t care who as long as someone pays.”

“No more humiliating affront has ever been suffered by a major power than the US suffered on 9/11,” Roberts recalls.

“Yet, absolutely no one, not even some lowly traffic controller, was scapegoated and held accountable for what is considered to be the most extraordinarily successful terrorist attack in human history, an attack so successful that it implies total negligence…”

Occasionally intelligent, well-founded but unpopular views can be found on the internet. Those who have missed Paul Craig Roberts should enjoy the benefit of an awakening, rising above the mindless masses through his wisdom.

He still defends Reagans economic policies, and hes still wrong about it but I dont see how that negates what hes saying now. Yes, he worked for Reagan. That doesnt mean he owns all of the Reagan administrations crimes. Call him out on his support for Reaganomics, by all means, but dont discount what he says on foreign policy just because of it.

Opponents of the Federal Reserve or their families were murdered, not outwitted. Look into the Lindberg baby for an introduction to their methods. It has always been the case that a small percentage of the population have the intelligence and training to lead the many. The many should be busy in their productive lives. They should have leaders who are moral and skilled. If the many productive citizens end up with all of their good leaders murdered and replaced by crooks, then is it because the many people are stupid? I don’t think that stupidity is the issue here. Violence and deciet is the issue. If the many cannot comprehend murderous maniacial behavior, is that stupidity? My how we analyze and blame the victims, while we call the murderous criminals ‘elite’. Isn’t it time to characterize the American people as something other than stupid? Why, if we are so stupid, is it always our technology that must be stolen in order to use it against us? If someone breaks into your house at night and steals all your goods and murders your family, did that happen because you are stupid? Did the thugs with guns ‘outwit’ you? Why don’t we just call a crime a crime and stop talking about how supposedly stupid Americans are.

Robert Magill, you believe the official story of 9/11 as sold to us by the media and government? Still? Over 10 years later? Please sir, do some reading on the subject. Try Chris Bollyns online book(its free on his site) for starters. PCR doesn’t go far enough with the “conspiracy theories” as you so MSM’ly put it.

The likes of the Rothschilds banking system got a foothole in China and saw them as the role model to bring in their NWO but China has played a very clever game, keeping their Renimbi low, pumping our cheap products while our Central banksters put us in extreme debt.

China creates 80% of it’s new money via Govt banks which means their people get a tax credit or infrastructure debt free. The Western Central Banksters were outwitted. Our banksters have turned our debt money into a non productive casino called derivatives which they use to destroy rather than build our economies, unlike China.

The only weapon left by the Western Elites is military might and this is what makes them such a threat to the survival of the planet. We have all these old inbred elites like George Bush, Rothschilds etc coming to their end of their lives with the anticipation of not realising their old Biblical Prophicies of being God’s Chosen people. They will take their bat + ball, end the game and annilhate the planet, rather than let anyone else win.

Decay always comes from within and the Roman Empire is testament to this reality.

“The internet army have completed their job of exposing the Mainstream Media for the liars and hypocrites they are. They have no choice left now but to CHANGE.”

I disagree. We have exposed the Mainstream Media only to ourselves, and we don’t matter to them.

It’s not so much that people are getting their news from the lying Mainstream Media. It’s that people are “cocooning” themselves, watching “Dancing with the Stars” (and other such fluff) and sports.

People have lately written articles, celebrating that ratings are down for Mainstream News programs, inferring that people are now getting their news from the Internet. I submit, rather, that it means that people just aren’t bothering with news, from whatever source.

Would it make any difference were the Mainstream Media to CHANGE? I doubt it.

These fvckers are playing for keeps. And people better wake the hell up to that fact.

These earth changes, and so-called scientific and social changes that are obviously engineered, clearly have an agenda. What Agenda Might this Be?

WHY would the elites dig a super underground vault to store seeds from all over the planet while introducing genetically modified seeds growing food they themselves won’t touch?

WHY have they built secret underground bases?–that aren’t so secret if you poke around a bit.

WHY is the world not told a single fact about the Fukushima radiation readings, and the EPA monitors get shut off and standards recalibrated?…while the media black out continues?

WHY is questioning water fluoridation considered cult science while multiple millions drink the toxic industrial byproduct yet European countries throw the process off?

WHY are they pushing vaccines so hard when they’ve been proven to maim children and adults?

WHY is the banking system getting off scott free when everyone knows they engineered this economic mess?

WHY is war on terror so accepted when it was based on a staged false premise–a clearly government induced false flag millions identify?

WHY is the education system spewing out dumber and dumber kids while more money is poured in to this fruitless endeavor?

WHY is everyone so freakishly fat they can’t see their feet anymore and are suffering accelerated off the charts health challenges?

WHY has questioning anything become a terrorist threat?

WHY is our atmosphere so purposely filled with aluminum and other toxic substances our respiratory illnesses have skyrocketed, never mind other complications like increased seizures, memory loss, and alzheimers?

WHY is going through the airport now a radioactive exam and terrorizing experience for even children and the elderly?

WHY is the government now allowed to arrest, imprison and even kill you without trial?..as well as spy on you at will?

WHY is the media swill the same on every channel with literally no independent reporting or investigative journalism?

WHY is our DNA being tracked, our irises scanned, blood tested and our movements monitored?
    etc. etc. etc.

    Getting the picture?

Wake the fvck up, is all I can say. If you don’t get it yet, I pity you. We’re under attack.

There’s a lot to be angry about. And if you’re not angry, you’re not alive. Then turn your anger into activity. DO SOMETHING!

pps – in a game of world politics, China and the US ARE the divide and conquer strategies. Just make sure you don’t get caught in the middle 😉

  8. The Rahnameh  May 19, 2012 at 11:44 pm

ps – the reason they are targeting China is the same reason they finance both sides of wars every other time.

  9. The Rahnameh  May 19, 2012 at 11:43 pm

The key to China was getting in early when there was an available technology disparity to exploit. The notable Banksters of Zion were already there, surprise surprise… can you tell me 100% China is truly “Chinese” as the United States is no longer 100% American?

China has, however, very little ability to project aggressively. Sustaining long-term conventional battles at a distance is not up China’s alley. This is not to say they could not completely annihilate pretty much any threat (having surpassed the same thresholds for effectively sanitizing continents like some other countries) that comes at them if they are compelled to do it. But, China would not be able to economically handle an “Iraq” and “Afghanistan”. Supply lines would suck everything dry.

Huffington Post Attacks Joshua Blakeney (the Rising Star in Alternative Media), Veterans Today and Press TV

    Dear Friends and Comrades,

A journalist from the pro-Israel entity “Honest Reporting Canada” has penned a hit piece about me in the Huffington Post.

I like the way that he was so scarce of evidence to demonstrate that I was a terrible anti-semite that he invoked the fact that I had issued my condolences to the widow and baby of an Iranian professor assassinated by the usual suspects, as if that is something to be ashamed of.

Moreover the individual Michael Ross, who is cited as an authority, is a former Mossad agent who writes for the National Post.

    That’s “honest reporting” for you!

    Joshua Blakeney

Congrats! Joshua Blakeney…With Sabrosky, Barrett, Hart & VT/Duff on the ADL’s “most wanted” list, and now you Joshua Blakeney on this one, we have all arrived!

We must be doing something terribly right to get their attention.

Now we just need support & organization & access to make things happen….sigh!

The internet army have completed their job of exposing the Mainstream Media for the liars and hypocrites they are. They have no choice left now but to CHANGE.

PC Roberts has a keen knack for seeing things and fitting them into their broader scope, which helps connect the dots and illustrate the entire picture.

If the United States of Israel wants to pick on China, they will discover that China is no middle Eastern dis-united petty sandbox, “Banana Republic” in the hands of petty despots. It is a big place, with a lot of resources, and an almost inexhaustible supply of man and woman power, none of whom have ever been conquered or overwhelmed by anyone other than one of their own, using their own people and resources…

Wow, some excellent comments here- especially this one by Taosword: “One of the biggest traps in being intelligent and aware of the things mentioned in this article is that one can easily become contemptuous of this 90 some % who are asleep and being betrayed by the 1% or less in positions of power and influence, that is the Pentagon/Political/Corporate Shadow Government”

It is very difficult not to be bitter when obviously there is some pretty willful ignorance piling up. I have yet to plumb the depths of Allan Bloom, but I like this quote- “Freedom of the mind requires not only, or not even especially, the absence of legal constraints but the presence of alternative thoughts. The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity, but the one that removes awareness of other possibilities.”

So easy to note when something is terribly wrong, but very hard to put a finger on exactly what it is.

Good cop/bad cop? Was the so-called off-mic leak to Medvedev a fake wink at a hopeful (hopeless) crowd of “at least one guy has our side” desperates?

  14. Al  May 19, 2012 at 9:05 pm

This site is a testament that those dumb stupid animals that were to be used as pawns in global policy, weren’t as stupid as the “self labeled” elites thought they were. Perhaps, we keep underestimating ourselves and overestimating their ability to control what they have loosened upon the world.

  15. Dan  May 19, 2012 at 8:14 pm

The first part of my comment regarding the quote from Dr. Roberts was an unfair and largely irrelevant non sequitur, as I can see after reading yours and then re-reading my own. He’s all the good things you say he is and then some.

  17. taosword  May 19, 2012 at 7:12 pm

When I returned from a drafted combat tour in Vietnam in 1969 I went to my local American Legion Club for a drink which I got free. I got my free drink and sat at the bar and observed the older vets sitting at the tables. The big conversation in this South Dakota town was that George McGovern was a communist. I knew at that point that all hope was gone for me to stay in a state that called their home boy Senator who wanted to bring us all home from that immoral war a Communist. In my searches while living in a dozen different states over the next 40 years I found the same thing. There were just a few people who were curious, aware, critical thinking, were compassionate and intelligent, and open minded, and that was no matter where I landed. One of the biggest traps in being intelligent and aware of the things mentioned in this article is that one can easily become contemptuous of this 90 some % who are asleep and being betrayed by the 1% or less in positions of power and influence, that is the Pentagon/Political/Corporate Shadow Government. So the trick to not becoming part of the problem is to not become resentful and contemptuous of them and play the angry, helpless, hopeless, but informed victim. That just leads to either depression or aggression and lets one vulnerable to being led into a violent revolution to displace these ruling idiots. In studies with the Buddhists from various countries, it was shown to me that there is a middle path that can involve non-violent action but is risky no matter if you protest with a sign at a gathering or post articles or comments on the internet. We need to support each other, influence each other, educate each other, listen to each other and help this violent immature country grow up.

  18. Dan  May 19, 2012 at 6:32 pm

PCR is brave enough to state the facts, up to a point, but I think he’s too harsh on Americans and the average citizen’s responsibility to comprehend the significance of world events, the complexities of their economic rape through financial fraud, etc. Just how would average Americans learn about vulnerability to blackmail which, as Gordon points out, is the sine qua non of holding public office at the national level in this country, particularly when the only media most Americans know of are instrumental in enforcing that blackmail? I’m sure narcissism is high among the qualifications as well, and nothing would convince our putative representatives that black is white quite like flattering them that they’re privy to secret information. The $trillions in financial fraud is nothing if not complex, and only those with a background in finance and lots of time on their hands could be expected to grasp even the broadest details of the crimes being committed against them with the connivance of Congress and this and past administrations.

A number of articles in the financial press lately have convincingly compared our national and state-level leadership and the operatives in the shadow government on Wall St, in the think tanks, the media, CFR, Bilderberg, TC, etc., with the psychopathic traits enumerated by Robert D. Hare in Without Conscience: The Disturbing World of the Psychopaths Among Us. The interpersonal symptoms of psychopathy enumerated by Dr. Hare are: glib and superficial; egocentric and grandiose; lack of remorse or guilt; lack of empathy; deceitful and manipulative; and, shallow emotions. A theme running throughout the book is that psychopaths are able to fool even the experts, so it’s understandable that the average American is woefully incapable of discerning the persistent structure of lies and betrayal that defines our government, the MSM, and our financial and intellectual elites.
