2012 is almost ready for the scrap heap of history. 2013 is just around the corner. Will America wake up or will it continue down the road to LaLa land?
Could it have been “the October Surprise” that didn’t work? Crazy as it might sound at this late date in December, could there have really been an October Surprise planned to insure the re-election of Obama to the Presidency?
I’m sick and tired of watching and listening to pundits who profess concern over the minimum wage. They all read from the same talking points…
The 2012 national elections are over. Conservatives are at a loss for words to describe the election results, while liberal progressives are giddy with joy.
The Vietnam War for all the good intentions we were told, left a trail of broken lives, a dispirited military that lasted until the Reagan Years, a decade of global instability with expansion of tyrannical government leadership, genocide, ethnic cleansing, and chaos. With the US military cast in a shadow of defeat and the US […]
Last week I announced we had finally completed http://www.yourmilitaryvoter.us website. This was a year-long undertaking to get to know the candidates running for national office and the governors who run the individual states.
For more than 12 months now we have been working on a new website which will help voters get a handle on the candidates running for national office.
Let me get the facts straight about the status quo of American left thinking. It will be a real stretch because I consider myself conservative (somewhere to the right of Attila the Hun), spent time in many of the countries leftists point to as being better than the US, lived in Eastern Europe for a brief period, and married into a family raised under the Communist Party.
This past week has come and gone and what a week it was following on the heels of the Republican National Convention.
Let’s get this straight…I get carded when I go to the store to purchase beer, wine; or booze at my local liquor store. I have to show a picture ID when I travel and board a plane or train.
Robert Samuelson, a noted columnist for the Albuquerque Journal hit it out of the park in a column he wrote on Friday regarding Former Treasury Secretary under President Bill Clinton, Larry Summers.
Well, here we are at the final chapter in the article I started a week ago addressing the innocence or possibly one might call it “ignorance” of the American public, as we slowly watch our country disintegrate into the political abyss of Washington DC.
In part one of this article I received lot of emails , with most agreeing with the positions I took. All agreed that we have become a polarize society, running rapidly toward secularism.
It is impossible for someone to not recognize a problem as big as life when it hits you right in the old snot-locker! I was once told that by my drill instructor in boot camp (among other not so quotable rules which extend well beyond life in the military).
Being a recipient of many Veteran newsletters and wire services, plus a lot of emails to articles I have written, it is apparent a lot of Veterans as well as much of America has fallen on tough times.
Mooresville, North Carolina…Richard’s Coffee Shop, “The most patriotic coffee shop in America”. Just around the corner from my house there’s a great place to stop in for a cup of Joe. It is a hangout of sorts for Veterans which I have written about this past year, and has become so popular it needed to pick-up roots and relocate up the street to larger quarters.
This week I was going to tackle the Aurora, Colorado tragedy, which angered me beyond comprehension. Such tragic events always seem to bring out the best in people and the worst at the same time as charlatans rise like oil on the surface of a lake.
Yes, it is a strange title for an article, but like all Veterans we sometimes have to look at events which affect us as an “us against them” scenario.
We the Veterans…we the voters, often watch from the sidelines and shake our heads in collective amazement at the actions of our government, both on the federal level and the state level.
Am I the only one who looks at the mess in Washington, and shake my head at the absolute chaos in all quarters of government?
Veteran Job opportunities are available to those who look in the right places
Defense Department cuts…a second look
Last year in the heat of the government budget debate once again our government wimped-out.
A hero’s welcome and return to small town America.
Questions we should ask about an eleven year war.
Thanking the Vietnam Veterans…a long time coming
How's those changes working out for you?
Technology can be a real friend or it can be your worst nightmare.
Common sense must prevail with regards to the federal budget.
If we are going to hell as a country, it shouldn’t surprise any of us
