Pro-Gay Vets Education Group gets active

Recently, the S.V.A. Webmaster completed new and additional “411” on the STONEWALL Veterans’ Association’s “Upcoming Events” website, retroactive from June 26 (the N.Y.C. Gay Pride Parade) to future September 13 (Primary Election Day). 

More info has been added on virtually every entry.  The S.V.A. is not a political group (contrary to what The Schlub stupidly thinks). 

The SVA is a little bigger and a lot more rooted and much wider-spread than that.  According to Mayor Ed Koch’s public declarations, the S.V.A. also has more “clout” than the political clubs.  Nonetheless, the S.V.A. does educate the Gay and non-Gay public and we are politically-aware, -astute and -active.  The S.V.A. can in various ways “support” the goodies (e.g., “Miracle Mike”) and not support the baddies (e.g., “Gang Green”)……

Many entries such as the S.V.A. website record-breaking stats; the N.Y. Blade(parade) story quoting S.V.A.’s Williamson; the Ellner camp allegedly raising over one million dollar$ for a local office and selfishly not giving a penny, supporting with a nickel or even advertising a dollar to the S.V.A. (who broke down the doors for Gays to openly run for public office); Luther Vandross passing; Margarita rising; Congressmember Maloney conference; M.B.P. Virginia Fields meeting; a City Hall Tribute to the late Councilmember James “Jed” Davis; and Primary Election Day (w/ an S.V.A. advisory) are all totally =new=.
