So when I found myself on a panel with Pipes discussing why Israel and its global assets are trying so hard to shut down Press TV, I couldn’t resist unloading on him.

US, Zionists waging genocidal war against Muslims: Kevin Barrett

This comes as US President Barack Obama has signed the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a cause for concern by those who believe the 2013 NDAA impacts Middle Easterners and Muslims in particular.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Kevin Barrett, a founding member of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance, from Wisconsin, to further discuss the issue. Barrett is joined by Joe Iosbaker, Stop FBI Repression, from Chicago, and Daniel Pipes, founder and director of the Middle East Forum, from Philadelphia. The following is a rough transcription of the interview.
Press TV: Do you agree with our guest [Mr. Daniel Pipes]?
Barrett: If the government were going to shut down all the media outlets that are inciting criminality against people like me, I guess they would pretty much have to shut down the entire mainstream media, which has been on an Islamophobic crusade ever since the pro-Israel coup d’état on September 11th, 2001.
Now, the real situation here, the real reason that Iranian media is being banned or being sanctioned under the NDAA is that Iranian media is telling the truth about a lot of these issues. By far the most important and the most sensitive is the truth about 9/11.
I was told by people at Al-Jazeera who were planning on doing a story about the 9/11 Truth Movement, that they were basically told they couldn’t do it at Al-Jazeera. It is taboo at Al-Jazeera. It is taboo everywhere else in the mainstream media.
Yet, here on Press TV, we can actually talk about the fact that the majority of the world doesn’t believe the official story of 9/11. 89 percent of Germans, 97 percent of Pakistanis say that al-Qaeda had nothing to do with 9/11.
A growing majority in the Islamic world, especially, says that 9/11 was basically a pro-Zionist coup d’état by the friends of Daniel Pipes. We have overwhelming evidence that this is true now. A book by Christopher Bollyn, “Solving 9/11”, is a good first place to start.
I think (the repression of Press TV) is because Press TV has been telling the truth about 9/11 or at least allowing voices to tell the truth about 9/11.
That’s the single most important issue that has led to these attempts to shut down Press TV throughout the West by the Zionist linked power structure that totally dominates US foreign policy, that donates more than half of the money to American political candidates, that owns every single mainstream media outlet in the US and that controls about 33 percent of global organized crime.
That’s a pretty formidable criminal organization they’ve got based over there in Israel. And if you go up against it as Iranian media has, you’re going to pay the consequences. I salute Press TV in its courage in doing so.
Press TV: Do you have a reaction to [previous guest speaker] Daniel Pipes?
Barrett: Yeah, talking about forced confessions and show trials in Iran is pretty funny because right here in the USA we’ve had a long series of forced confessions and show trials specifically around 9/11.
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the man who was blamed as the mastermind of 9/11, was brainwashed into reciting the words of his torturers after a massive amount of torture.
The only evidence offered in the 9/11 Commission Report for its claim that 19 Arabs somehow pulled off this amazing attack, taking down three skyscrapers with two planes, is the alleged confessions of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. If you look in the 9/11 Commission Report, every single footnote leads you to the alleged confessions of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed under severe and unrelenting torture. He is only the most notorious of the thousands of Muslims around the world and here in the US who have been arrested, tortured and subjected to show trials.
This has been happening all over the world. More than 100 thousand Muslims have gone through the US sex torture gulag since 9/11.
I think it’s pretty hypocritical of someone like Daniel Pipes, who represents the hardline Zionist faction that’s staged the 9/11 massacre of Americans, to accuse Iran of show trials and forced confessions, when it’s his very people who have destroyed the Constitution of the United States and forced the United States to become a dictatorship of show trials and forced confessions.
[In response to Mr. Daniel Pipes’ question regarding Muslims immigrating to the US] The United States is a wonderful place. It’s a wonderful place if you’re a Muslim who wants to keep his mouth shut.
Press TV: Kevin Barrett, go ahead [in response to Daniel Pipes questions regarding Muslims immigrating to the US].
Barrett: Because they can make a better living here. The kind of Muslims who are happy coming to the United States tend to be people who are, I’m sorry to say, who for the most part are not courageous enough to speak the truth. 80 percent of Muslims know that 9/11 was a hardline Zionist inside job. 65 percent of American Muslims know it according to scientific polling and yet most of them are cowards who are keeping their mouth shut.
They just want to get by. They just want to raise their families. They just want to make a living. If that’s all you want to do in life, if you don’t want to stand up for what’s right and stand up for God the way the first Muslims did, the United States is a wonderful place. It’s a paradise for people who are not serious about doing what’s right, whether they’re Muslim or non-Muslim.
[In response to Mr. Daniel Pipes’ question regarding the US as a place of torture] Because the Muslims who want to come here are not going to speak the truth. They’re going to keep their mouths shut. They’re terrified of people like you.
The Muslims who want to stand up for what’s right are not likely to come to America. The Muslims who want to stand up for what’s right are getting themselves into trouble and they’re the ones who are being tortured.

Barrett: The whole point of having an outlet like Press TV is to allow people to speak the truth in the face of this nonstop avalanche of propaganda lies put out by people like Daniel Pipes, the master Islamophobic propagandist of our time. Let’s hand him his due here.
I don’t think Daniel Pipes knows very many ordinary Muslims. I happen to know a whole lot of them. I hung out with absolutely ordinary Muslims when I was in Morocco and I hang out with ordinary Muslims here in the USA.
All of them know 9/11 was an inside job. All of them know there’s a war on Islam. All of them know that the US has tortured 100 thousand Muslims in the torture gulag since 9/11 and they are just afraid to say it. They are afraid to say it.
They know they can get by; they can have a nice job. They can survive. All of my Muslim friends here in the US virtually are just keeping their mouths shut.
Thank God there are a few brave men like MD Rabbi Alam, the high-level democratic politician from Missouri who is standing up for the truth.
Most Muslims are just like anybody else. They just want to get by. They just want to have a decent life for their families, and they know darn well that they are facing a genocidal war on Islam launched by these neo-con lunatics, the friends of Daniel Pipes.
I salute Press TV for allowing people to occasionally come on and tell the truth about this.
