Army Ranger Attacked By Oakland Police

Another Outrage

In Critical Condition, Beaten by Police, Attack Not During Demonstration

By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor

A former Army Ranger and owner of a local Oakland pub, Kayvan Sabeghi, 32, was attacked by a gang of armed police while walking near his home last night in Oakland.  The decorated Iraq War veteran and former Army Ranger is thought to have been picked out by police because he “looked foreign.”

Sabeghi, who suffered a life threatening ruptured spleen in the unprovoked, racially motivated hate crime, was then arrested for “resisting arrest” and denied medical care.  Perhaps the police had made a mistake and the real crime was “walking home” and “resisting arrest” was a secondary charge.

Sabeghi, though near death, was held without medical treatment for hours even after bail had been posted.

Hours later, he was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he remains in Intensive Care.

Though Sabeghi is a decorated war veteran, a group often singled out by police out of “insecurity,” this attack also is a likely “hate crime” as well, requiring a federal response.

This is the second attack on a Iraq War veteran in the last few days.  Marine Scott Olsen was shot in the head with a metal tear gas canister during last weeks peaceful demonstration.  While Olsen lay injured, Oakland police threw concussion grenades at his limp body.  Olsen suffered a fractured skull and other injuries.  His assaults were filmed but Oakland authorities refuse to review them or discuss the issue.

Despite optimistic pronouncements, there is little chance Olsen will have a complete recovery from his injuries.

This is now two episodes of use of lethal force against military veterans by Oakland police.  The last incident may indicate a pattern of targeting of military personnel or veterans by police.

The Oakland department has a long history of corruption, bribery and police misconduct, and, though one of the highest paid in the nation, is rated as one of the poorest performing.

Demonstrations this week have brought out crowds of over 100,000 while gangs of armed police hide in the shadows and hunt down stragglers for arrest, assault and possible robbery.

Last week, police claimed crowds were carrying illegal assault weapons and firebombs but a careful analysis of literally thousands of hours of video proved these statements, meant to provide a sane rationale for police misconduct, to have been false.

We recommend that anyone walking through Oakland stay with groups of more than 5, film all police officers in their vicinity and expect assault, arrest or worse at the hands of what had once been a police department and is now little but a shameful mob of anti-American degenerates.

Veterans Today strongly suggests that the people of Oakland petition the board of elections on behalf of a ballot initiative to eliminate all collective bargaining for Oakland police, lower staffing levels by 40%, lower salaries by 35% and end all overtime.  We have generally been opposed to such ballot efforts, such as Issue 2 in Ohio’s upcoming election on Tuesday but feel the Oakland Police have not performed up to reasonable professional standards and the elimination of their bargaining unit and benefits package, including the accrual of sick days and back vacation, may remind them who it is that pays their salary.

Where else can we be certain that cutting police presence is certain to lower the crime rate?

If police are going to act like third rate security guards, they can get paid like them.

Now having said all above, it’s strange that more US Witnesses have mysteriously disappeared as result of “War on Terror” concept, then real terrorist. I doubt this is an accident…but when criminals but family members in charge of pursuing criminals, what do you expect?

    Courtesy of G. Bush.

  2. OS  November 8, 2011 at 8:16 am

Does Washington DC really understand the outer sphere they created, this criminal organization, and tax dollars being used to create their technologies……that will be used against them now and into the future? This is ultimately what happens when you outsource too much funding and provide powers to companies to oversee, what they call “The War on Terror”. Will officials in Washington be monitored as well, will Federal Departments? Of course they will…..and they won’t even know how this is being accomplished.

  3. OS  November 8, 2011 at 7:48 am

The methods above are old, but often still applied today. In some cases people are poisoned, to temporally affect the specific organs and get them into surgery to implant an electronic device for monitoring, and among other. Some of these devices are implanted in the upper abdomen region. Very illegal, but done anyone. This criminal organization has no problem doing anything they wish; everyone is a specimen for experiments. I believe former division of one corporation, partner of “W” developed this technology. Imagine what can be done if this device emitted specific frequencies? And caused changes in behavior…

Gordon, the poisons in some cases is used so implants can be made…..

OK for now, I need to write a story…soon. But not certain Gordon would publish, it’s about my experience prior to 911, strange things occurring, and who knew about all this activity. I will name a State Attorney General that was covering up crimes (avoiding information). And why this activity was covered up by the implementing the “Patriot Act”. Which in fact was used to create chaos to cover up criminal activity, How do you cover computer attacks, identity theft, email theft, and so forth, occurring the Bush administration? You create chaos by implementing the patriot act, so there’s so much activity it can not be monitored. Why was his administration pursuing AG’s, because some were receiving information regarding the above criminal activity, and knew there was contractor activity being used to attempt to eliminate people reporting these crimes. Because, as I know, the “War on Terror” in the United States was about targeting people who were reporting this activity, whistle-blowers. So therefore, the FBI could be redirected to the witnesses “Terror Watch List” and way from the real criminals. Why did one extremely wealthy family, own a small toxic waste company, where waste was stored in 50 gallon barrels. To be later buried, strange business. Why did the FBI raid this facility? Missing person? The “Terror Watch List” was created in part to pursue witnesses, and implemented by the partnership committing the crimes. They could simply say anyone who interferes with their criminal operation was possible terrorist.

I would like to write a story and publish my experience prior to 911, and thereafter, because I worked with the wealthy family who immediately after 911 received federal contracts.

It is my belief, that witnesses as myself and others should start coming forth so cases can be built and evidence complied. Because presently many have been added to the watch list for slow disposal, by the original criminals that installed this system.

Do you believe there’s over 1-million possible terrorist residing in the US, during Bush administration, or the system is being used to capture witnesses and slowly terminate them. Are the same companies being used for the objective, the same ones given contracts by the Bush Administration?

And so I will, the hardcore fact that is emerging EVERYDAY is that “peaceful” protest will ultimately fail. Having a “thought-out” revolutionary response is always worth considering. If I end up as domestic cannon fodder, at the very least want an opportunity to “INFLICT THE SAME” BEFORE CHECKOUT !!!!

Taking the legal way is all well and good, unless your enemy has no rules…
At that point it becomes time to play by their rules as established by their actions.
    Yeah, nasty…
Maybe a majority of servicemen might need to pay a visit to the Oakland police…
    Marine Core Legue…veterans groups…and We The People…
As stated before, it is time for a new government.
Take a close look at what the present one is doing…
Lots of room for legal actions against those who did and are doing this…including the city of Oakland, and those who ordered the police to go in,mayor, city council, etc.
Enforce ther oath of office by reporting the actions to their bonding company, and get them pulled off the streets.
Then offer the hate crime charges and challenge their right to carry arms.
This would be a start in the right direction, just be sure to follow through.
This is not the country I fought for…not even close.
…and I thought the war was over when I left combat…
Guess the other side wasn’t told.
So we are all put in the trick bag to be used as crash/practice dummies.
…for whom the bell tolls? It tolls for you…let freedom ring.
    Ring their bell…

I guess our declaration of independence was written by ENEMIES OF THE STATE pushing for violence

Disclaimer: The following factual information is for informational purposes only.

For a cop, as for anyone else, a flat tire is a minor inconvenience. After all, there is a spare tire in the trunk.

However, there are not two spare tires in the trunk.

Moreover, a puncture in the tread of a tire can be repaired. A puncture in the sidewall of a tire can’t be repaired; the tire must be replaced.

A cordless drill with a 1/4″ bit can make quick work of the sidewalls of two tires.

Repeat disclaimer: The preceding factual information is for informational purposes only.

Thanks Joe in San Francisco. Your response is obviously the result of good thinking and being able to anzlyze the facts.

  11. Joe in San Francisco  November 6, 2011 at 6:06 pm

Oakland Police’s action against ex-Marine Scott Olsen was the result of incompetence and an unclear message of Mayor Jean Quan, a liberal, to police because she chose to be out of town during the stand-off. Anyone might have been struck — or even killed — by the projectiles shot by these cowboy cops in masks and hiding behind shields.

Quan came back to Oakland and played from her liberal roots. But many in the police department, Chamber of Commerce, etc. want some tough love shown to the protesters. What happened to Kayvan the ex-GI was a magnitude greater on the repression scale. His “crime” was not demonstrating peacefully but trying to reason with cops and getting them to let him go to his home, which was just over the police lines.

If you’ve ever tried to reason with a cop, you exactly what happens next. He not only was refused his request, but he was abused beyond what most of use would consider reasonable behavior. What was needed at the time was one level-headed cop who would check his ID, confirm his address, and let him through the line. What Kayvan got was corporal punishment for daring — yes, daring — to insist that someone in bunch of thugs take him for what he was: just a guy trying to get home to his wife. For not keeping his mouth shut, he was beaten with nightsticks so hard that his spleen was ruptured.

The Oakland Police deserve their reputation, and the stink is not going away.

  14. johng  November 6, 2011 at 9:48 am

Lance, you are correct! This scenario was played once before during the Bolshevik Covert War of the 1930’s. This Anti-Christian led Marxist invasion left 10’s of millionsof Russian citizens dead. The Bolsheviks were successful in organizing thugs for hire of their own people to squash them. If you want to know what’s going on here read up on the “Russian Revolution”. It’s your future.

    Mr. MacDonald:

While respecting your subjective, albeit utterly suspicious opinon about the “purpose of this article,” please spell out in-detail any and all facts presented that are known and provable (by you or anybody) to be false, or at the very least an exaggeration.

Regarding your second sentence . . . are you claiming that the “more anger and violence” will emerge from the police? If so bravo, you may actually have stumbled into lucidity! Specifically, is it your opionon (also) that if a person attempts to defend themselves from tyranny in the form of an armed mob of goon “police” that the result will be an escalation of “anger and violence” levied upon that person/victim? We appreciate your deep, heartfelt concern and thought process. We had not thought of just how violent the fascist zybots can become. Thanks again.

And when you make claims about “we, ” to whom/who/what are you referring? Are you familiar, at all, with the rudimentary facts of the American Revolution?

In any case Mr. MacDonald, WE (Mr. Duff and I) want an answer to my first paragraph question.

  16. OS  November 6, 2011 at 9:13 am

Have you ever been in the deep forest?

Sometimes foolish people cross over into regions where dangerous predators reside, especially wolves that work together in packs. They will study and monitor you, and you will not see them, because they only operate at night, in acute silence. They are predators and hunters.

You will know when trouble is coming, when you hear the faint growling as it slowly comes from all directions. Then comes the slow approach, and there’s nothing you can do, and thereafter there is nothing.

That’s all this Ranger need say. Good story.

  17. ulysees  November 6, 2011 at 9:06 am

Wanton murder by the po-lice has been too long a fixture of our society. They are unanimously found innocent of any wrong doing when in most cases they are flagrantly guilty of heinous crimes and are protected by their own kangaroo court system which excludes we the public and, is mindlessly supported by the Oligarchy.

Its time for their comrades to step forward and take the bad apples out of the basket. Its time to get rid of the dangerous Taser and to close that manufacturing company down. Its time to enact laws which will be retro-active, to bring those police responsible for murder to court where they will be convicted and then immediately hung in the GALLOWS in front of the courthouse , in public view. That may be the only way to end this barbarous behaviour of the banking elite and their hired assassins. Lifetime Quarantine would work too , on some far off island , ex-military base, without any contact with the public other than feeding and medical care.

There is a way but, first there must be justice otherwise we’ll fall for the same tricks once again. We’re
much too tolerant, and, they are much too Sociopathic… a return to the GALLOWS -but only for the police- would be cathartic for our society as this has been gnawing at our collective souls for far too long. This is merely another instance of this kind of barbarity, mindlessly supported by the Oligarchy.

The time of cognitive dissonance is long past. We are calling on the honest Police officers of the country to turn on their Rabid counterparts and put them out of the force, clean-up your act or its good-bye.

I wonder what the some of the troops in Iraq & Afghanistan think about it? You know, the ones fighting for America’s freedom… because those terrorist hate our freedom.

  20. JS  November 6, 2011 at 7:07 am

If the facts “incite” anger and violence, that is not the fault of the messenger. Better to close your eyes and hide the truth?

There is no incitation to violence here, only a report of aggressive violence by the OPD. Perhaps that incites rational self defense.

That is why I can “fire off” a couple of rounds and re-holster without having done any irreparable damage. Foo, Matt, Glenn and others will inevitably “talk me back down off the ledge”. Consider that my “good, much needed nightly FART “. Another reason why I love this place.

In this video, activists from “We Are Change” question a man dressed in a suit hastily departing the Denver Occupy scene after they observed him DIRECTING the Denver Riot Police what to do.

Yes, the Federal government has “planted” troublemakers in the Occupy movement, It is “FEDERAL” agents (or Mossad) who are DIRECTING all these jack-booted THUG police departments. Practically every police force in the U.S. has been trained by the Israelis. A list of these is at the bottom of this webpage:

At the bottom of the following JINSA website, there are two other clickable links to testimonies of Police who have been. Read those and you will see how people who aren’t exactly good at making judgements in an emergency, which most police aren’t, are brainwashed with Israeli tactics and sob stories into adopting the attitude, which most already have to some degree, that everyone is suspicious and about to kill them at any moment. That is what the Israeli training puts into their minds….that protestors or anyone really, in the US has to be regarded as and treated like Israel treats Palestine terrorist. With total suspicion and shoot first and ask later.

  23. Glenn McBride  November 6, 2011 at 6:06 am

Well, if my 25 of experience in and around law enforcement is any indication, the Oakland plain-clothes section and an army of police informants are now scouring Kayvan Sabeghi phone and credit card records, placing a GPS tracker on his vehicle, hidden microphones in his apartment, his phone has been tapped, and law enforcement will spend a few weeks determining Mr. Sabeghi daily routine.

Once enough of Mr. Sabeghis hang outs are identified, plain-clothes and informants will then begin spreading the rumor that Mr. Sabeghi is a pedophile, a drug dealer, and was Osama Bin Ladens pool man. The people around Mr. Sabeghi will be strongly encouraged to be as rude as possible to Mr. Sabeghi. Spit in his food, mutter obscenities under their breath at him, or maybe put some undetectable poison in his sandwich. The degree of activity usually correlates to the amount of money flowing from the “confidential informant budget” every police department has, but you probably never heard of.

Once Mr. Sabeghi has been sufficiently “agitated” by this constant harassment, he will eventually “snap out” on someone. That someone will most likely be a police informant. Now the police, who made sure a marked unit was always a block away from Mr. Sabeghi at all times, swoops in to arrest Mr. Sabeghi for assault & battery. Conveniently, the place where the event occurred just HAPPENED to be filled with a gaggle of police informants that will testify that Mr. Sabeghi was violent and attacked with no provocation, and that he is most likely insane.

Now the police can go into court and say Mr. Sabeghi was clearly the aggressor, and that the 50 police that beat him nearly to death were only acting in self-defense. Since the county prosecutors sister-in-law is the police informant that Mr. Sabeghi retaliated against, Mr. Sabeghi will be forced to plead to a lesser charge, then spend 6 months in prison. While in prison, the guards, all friends of the police themselves, will bribe all the jailhouse snitches with drugs and cigarettes to target Mr. Sabeghi for continual harassment. Mr. Sabeghi will come out of jail a financially and emotionally broken man, capable of offering no further resistance to the police state. The VA will also cancel Mr. Sabeghis disability payments as he is a suspected fugitive felon. Its all just an accounting error, you see. Give us a few years to sort it out, Mr. Sabeghi.

This sort of thing going on every day in America. In every town, to hundreds of thousands of Americans, myself included. From the local dop-dealing cop, to the FBI troll, and right on up to the DoJ itself. There is a cancer in America. It is not carrying a Bible or a Koran or even an AK-47. It is carrying a badge. The sooner America figures that out, the sooner we can restore Constitutional law. Conversely, the longer it takes for the average America to figure out just who it is that is actively creating so much misery and suffering and poverty in our communities, the longer it will all continue.

And I would not doubt for a moment that Mr. Sabeghi was chosen for this sort of “special treatment” long before he was physically attacked by the police. But that is only my opinion.

  24. Matt  November 6, 2011 at 5:29 am

If you look at these movements and subsequent reactions from Law Enforcement, see it as a boxing match. You are certainly not going to come out unscathed or even vertical if you walk straight towards “Tyson” swinging away. The best boxers allow the other fighter to beat themselves, these “cops” (and not everyone is rotten, but rot does spread) look at these people and see a Buster Douglas, so they are mentally downplaying the reaction of the mass.

The more the news spread about Veterans being beaten down, the more Veterans will show up, the more that show up only means the more will get mobbed and so on and so on. This will, more than likely, result in Military Personnel returning home to no jobs with only one thing to do…continue to fight for their country and the new enemy will be corrupt cops.

I wasn’t alive during Vietnam ( my stepfather was an MP) and I know Gordon was there, but I do recall some veterans coming home and “disagreeing” with the PTB as to why we were there (among other reasons). We face similar times and the future for most young adults with 130k in student debt with no jobs other than to come wash dishes for me with a masters degree in ceramic engineering is to stand up let these controllers know that the system is tilted, and tilted in favor of those who do the least work.

I could go on for days, but I do stress that the first wave of this revolt should be handled with soft hands and paperwork….

  25. Matt  November 6, 2011 at 5:15 am

AJ I’m not getting that feeling from the article, but rather what I get is a way to properly protect citizens by formally explaining to our “protective” employees that their performance is less than acceptable and expulsions are required.

There little in the way of protection for citizens from rogue officers and crooked politicians other than to unite and pull their “cards”.

The only reason for feeling angry should come from standing by and doing nothing, regret is cowardice’s ugly cousin.

We the people are our only protection when those employed by us to uphold laws have gone off the rez. Time to jerk the leash and keep the dog one step behind.

    When buying spray paint:

    1) Do so when a store is busy, so that you are just another face in the crowd.

    2) Buy a couple of innocuous items at the same time.

    3) Pay in cash, to avoid creating a money trail with a credit or a debit card, and pay with a bill that is appropriate to the purchase, definitely not larger than a $20.

You’re right. They want violent revolution. They are trying to trick us in firing the first shot, so that they can portray themselves as protecting the citizenry against the horde of dirty commie hippie dope-fiend scum-of-the-Earth etc.

Let’s not fall into their trap. Instead, let’s get creative, rather than destructive.

As a purely hypothetical example, you understand, there might be someone with the tech chops to build a radio transmitter, powerful enough to swamp police transmissions. He could drive around, with it in his vehicle, to defeat radio direction-finding equipment.

He could take it a step farther, by broadcasting music. Gentle, peaceful music, like “Bridge over Troubled Water” or “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” Gospel music, like “Amazing Grace.” Silly music, like Gilbert and Sullivan show tunes.

Do you remember the scene in “V for Vendetta,” with the riot cops frozen in place, because they weren’t receiving orders? And picture, if you will, the TV talking heads, straining to keep a straight face, while attempting to express their outrage.

AJ – you make me want to cry. I didn’t see any suggestion of violence in the article. In all the suggestions made, there wasn’t even one violent recommendation. “Where else can we be certain that cutting police presence is certain to lower the crime rate?” Oakland without a doubt, but Boston could be a close second.

    Thanks again Mr. Duff!

  36. A J MacDonald Jr  November 5, 2011 at 10:08 pm

Don’t buy-in to this kind of agitation. Articles like this one incite anger and violence, which (I think) is the purpose of this article. Anger and violence only breed more anger and violence. And I think we’ve had quite enough of that.

  37. DaveL  November 5, 2011 at 9:32 pm

I am rapidly approaching the “end-of-my-rope” on this issue. JFK’s prophetic statement about eliminating “peaceful” revolution and ensuring “violent” revolution is materializing before us. There is an “agenda” at play here. WE THE PEOPLE are being herded into a “choice-less corral”.

And while most/many can choose to ignore it, the time has ARRIVED that the choice will be made for them one way or another. I need to sleep on this before I announce all out WAR with respect to a movement that carried much of my future hopes with it.

This is nauseating, unreasonable, and should be prosecuted to the expedient and fullest extent of the law. The FACT that it won’t be is the “deal-breaker” for me. Sometimes I hate weekends, too much time to “stay informed”.

Revolution is no longer a “four letter word”. It is becoming the only solution. Why is actually “representing” the people such an alien concept to our “representatives”. Please don’t answer that rehtorical question, it will only piss-me-off that much more.
