ASY abuse of the JCOC AND cleaning house at ASY

Upon going to the cleaner, new and improved, ASY website, readers will note significant differences from the propaganda program of the past few years. (1) There are no longer corporate sponsers allowed within the ASY program per se, and (2) ASY tends to be just as anxious to distance itself from home ‘front’ groups previous screened by the Bush administration (Allison Barber and company) as some home front groups are to get as far away from ASY as possible.

JCOC 72 was held from October 15-22, 2006 [note the timing for political impact – just prior to the November 2006 elections when Democrats were beating the Republicans to death on timelines for Iraq, and so on.

Former SECDEF Don Rumsfeld exploited and used the JCOC and ASY, with the same unethical fervor that he embraced torture, for partisan political hay on behalf of the Bush administration, “There’s no way the United States can lose militarily against the terrorists, but the “center of gravity of the war in Iraq is not in Iraq, it’s in Washington, D.C.,” Rumsfeld said to civilians selectively screened by ASY to experience the JCOC program.
