The Department of Veterans Affairs will begin accepting applications for the Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33). With the recent release of the VA�s final guidelines of the Post 9/11 GI Bill, many veterans may be eligible for extended months of Chapter 33 benefits. The final guideline states that if you exhaust all of your Montgomery GI Bill Benefits (Chapter 30) and have served after September 11, 2001, you are entitled to another 12 months of the Post 9/11 GI Bill. The decision to opt to use the Post 9/11 needs to be made on a case-by-case basis. If you have any questions regarding your educational benefits please refer to the VA Website and post a question.
