A Veteran Employee Education Fair, sponsored by the California Department of Veterans Affairs and the Sacramento Region Higher Education Coalition, will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in Sacramento.
The fair is designed for working veterans and other professionals interested in pursuing a college education while maintaining a full-time job.
It will include a presentation on the post-9/11 GI Bill and how it can assist veterans in pursuing vocational training of a college education.
Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with advisers and other representatives of local colleges and universities regarding enrollment and financial assistance. Federal and state departments of veterans affairs also will offer presentations on veterans benefits.
The event will be in the Medal of Honor Hall, CalVet Headquarters, 1227 O St., Sacramento.
