WANTED: Vietnam veterans to write about their experiences for new book
Mar-Tech Specialties, a full service promotional product agency, announces a new web site, http://www.heroesamongus.org, asking Vietnam Veterans to put their thoughts into words. All Vietnam Veterans are invited to participate and their experiences will be used in the development of a new book, Heroes Among Us. This innovative method for developing a book gives Vietnam Veterans the chance to tell their own story about the Vietnam War. Vietnam Veterans are asked to visit http://www.heroesamongus.org and answer just a few short questions.
According to Bill Shaw, President of Mar-Tech Specialties, “The Heroes Among Us format is quite different from other Vietnam books. This book is a collection of soldiers’ stories based on input solicited from the web site and questionnaires distributed to veterans.” Shaw continues, “How veterans dealt with the various issues while….
…trying to integrate back into society and then managing to create a life since the war is not only compelling but inspiring. These real life experiences of Vietnam Veterans ensure the book offers a message of hope, love, and courage for all Americas.”
Shaw hopes all Vietnam Veterans visit http://www.heroesamongus.org to write about their Vietnam experiences. He states, “This book is for veterans as told by veterans so it’s a once in lifetime chance to tell their story.”
The web site also features a section where veterans can reserve a copy of the book. Furthermore, Mar-Tech has pledged a percentage of each book sold to the Vietnam Veterans America, State of Michigan Council, Inc.
