The Phil versus Bill Show Expose the fallacies of the Cindy Sheehan/Bush Clash

In an amazing dichotomy of views, there has been a classic showdown between the Titans of Talk. The discussion, or more appropriately, the O’Reilly finger wagging debate, was by every measure of the word a classic. The topic was Cindy Sheehan.

Bill O’Reilly, America’s most talked about Fox News Talk Show Host, started the segment by demonizing the still grieving mother. The inference of his diatribe was that she was unpatriotic and Un-American. 

Phil Donahue, the former heavy weight champ and one of the founding fathers of the genre, was biting his lip while O’Reilly spewed his classic venom.  Then he struck.

Bill your trying to demonize this woman and you can never harm her. She’s already taken a severe body blow with the loss of her son. You and Fox cannot stop her.  People have died for her right to dissent said a passionate Donahue.

O’Reilly immediately got boisterous and started his trademark and the tell tale finger wagging attack – a not to subtle display of disrespect and contempt for his guest.  Donahue remained composed and unintimidated.  He called O’Reilly a “loud minority that opposes any dissent”.

Your finger waving Billy doesn’t’ intimidate me.  People have died for the right to dissent said Donahue.

What do you propose that we cut add run, O’Reilly arrogantly retorted. We are already planning that. It’s called scaling back. said Donahue.

The shoot from the lip host, clearly met his match. Donahue was rational, did not lose his composure. Unlike the self proclaimed advocate of the pro war faction. Donahue referred the Constitution & the War Powers Act. He also referred to the valiant Republican Senator Lincoln Chaffey, who voted against the War.? He also referred the 27 cowardly Democratic senators, who voted&! nbsp; for the war.

Saddam Hussein was our bastard, you saw pictures of Rumsfeld shaking his hand did you not?

 Donahue then referred to the war dead from 1,000 to 2,000 and the Halliburton Stock from 33 to 66 in one year.

The clash of the vocal titans can only be matched with Ali vs. Frazier. This portrayed the arrogance

Of the war mongering, flag waving minority. It also exemplified the weak and shallow argument of the Administration.

Even though Billy what Donahue repeatedly called O’Reilly, the classic antagonist was clearly out matched, by the sane and rational Donahue This debate really framed the national debate. Not even the last presidential debates hardly came close to this match. This debate proved one thing, that the views of the warmongering minority are not only immoral, pigheaded, unconstitutional

But also un-American.

O’Rielly, Limbaugh, Pat Robertson are media darlings of the so called Moral Majority.  These media leaders are perhaps better suited for Sexual harassment, pill popping & being the Christian Assassin. Instead they are idolized by a minority segment that is neither moral nor a majority.
