The Coming of the New American Revolution

Is George W. Bush the Very Worst President Ever?

by Wendell J. Wright

Overtime it has been proven that our current leaders in the White House have mislead the American people in order to advance their agenda.

After 911, the Bush Administration with no Weapons of Mass Destruction found in Iraq and now with the failed attempt to make a connection between Al-Qaeda and 911 with the Iraq War, the American public is starting to truly see and accept the deception.

Don’t get me wrong, this writer is clear about the reasons for the deception to the people of our country.  It’s a known fact that certain leaders do not feel that the masses can handle complex thought and missions that are grand in scale.  So they resort to simple tag lines and easy to understand slogans to sell their ideas and keep us in line without asking hard questions.

For those of us who can see these slogans for what they are, the real questions is;

Does the complex mission justify a “dirty pitch” type of selling stratagem to get and keep the people on board?

Well, some believe it does.

In fact, I am sure that the White House felt strongly that if they were to communicate the real reasons for going into Iraq that the public would have rejected the war from the beginning.  So the White House “salesmen” chose to come up with simple “reasons” for war and did it very effectively for many years.

But now the public is finding out about the type of sales pitch used on them to get the job done.  And many are reacting negatively.

Regardless of the deception, was this planned approach to influence by the Bush Administration effective?

Well I really believe that the Bush Administration sincerely believes that its agenda is worth the ruse.  Deception is a strategy used in war.   Let’s not be naive here.  War is hell and we veterans understand that, in war, we have to utilize deception against the enemy to ge the upper hand.  But we are NOT the enemy, are we?

Look, I suspect the handlers discuss this ruse in private very directly as if it is completely justified and necessary to get the job done.

But like in all sales, when the client gets wind of a ruse, they revolt and become burnt. Once burnt, a client is extremely difficult to recover.  Clients lose faith.

Now with the world at the call of the USA on September 12, 2001, using this ruse was frankly a horrible way to win friends and influence people.  Quickly the world turned against the USA in a very big way.  How the Bush Administration handled the opportunity was simply ineffective.

In layman’s terms, we burnt the clients.  The world rebelled.  So why did they rebel?

Well, the world expected leadership from the USA.  Why?  Because we earned it over many years of doing good and right over time.  We earned our right to influence because we collectively offered solutions and a better way.  We had a vision.  Now we are just bullies.

So after 911, how could this happen?  How could we turn the world against us is such a manner?  That is just unbelievable to this writer.  How did we blow this tragic oppourtunity to turn a negative into a positive?

With the polls now reflecting, the American people are collectively catching up and moving past the mainstream media to look for answers because they no longer believe what they are told by the Bush Administration.  Everything is under scrutiny because we, as a people, have been burned.

Under the media blitz of the White House with their spin doctors equating 911 terrorism from Al-Qaeda with the occupation of Iraq, it’s not a crime for the average American to believe what was once told.  In fact, it’s honorable to believe and have faith in our leaders.

However, it is clear that this administration has dishonored our trust by giving us slogans and sound bits that were falsehoods designed to keep us on the team without asking questions to them and challenging their agenda.   They just wanted a clear path to their agenda and not to be interrupted by the stupid masses who would not understand anyway.

In a totalitarian society, that works……but in a true democracy, it’s not that simple.  Democracy and freedom demand more.

In the end, the Bush Administrations principles and their accompanying stratagems have failed and now, as a community, we are feeling betrayed.

The contempt for the masses in a wired world is actually coming home to roost.   We have information now and anytime some leader is stretching or straight up lying about the facts, it can be quickly confirmed.  Thus, in the New World Order, the only real way to govern now is by the truth.  Without it, a leader is now doomed to fail.

Finally, the biggest crime of this Administration is that on September 12, 2001, the world was with us.  All we had to do is have our President visit each country to thank them for their support and we would have had the whole world with us.   Osama would be in jail and we would have had 10 times more influence in the world today then when what we had the day before.

Instead, we are stuck here in 2006 with the world laughing at us and a complete loss of integrity to influence.   Our only card to influence is guns and for those who have ever had a gun to their head, we know that if you don’t kill the person who has the gun to the head, you’ve made an enemy for life.  And that’s where we are today..more enemies, not less.  More hate, not harmony.  This is a disaster for our country.

In closing, I think that this state of affairs renders this President of the USA, the very worst we have ever had in the history of the USA.

It’s time for massive wholesale change of direction; an internal new legal American Revolution of sorts.

We really need an internal and legal American Revolution to oust those with contempt for our people.  We must demand a return to integrity not only here in our country but to our diplomats that represent us and create the relationships on the world wide stage.   And it all starts at the top!

Now, I don’t’ expect those at the top today to resign.  You know they won’t do such a thing under any circumstance.

However, at our very next election the people must rise and get to voting booths to vote the bums out and send the very strongest message to our servants of the public trust that we want a return to the America that earns its respect and trust not only here at home but around the world by action and not mis-truths and deceptions.

Ask yourself one simple question.  Is America better off now that it was after George W. Bush was elected?  I think the resounding answer is NO.   That’s not a Democratic Party or some liberal question, it’s an American question for all of us.  It’s time for a change.
