The origins of Loomis, Fargo & Co. date back to 1852, to those exciting days when Pony Express riders helped build the American west, as well as the Alaska Gold Rush era, when armed mushers endured danger and hardship to provide safe transport into and out of the mines. The founding fathers of our predecessor companies met and tamed the challenges of their respective frontiers. You may be familiar with some of the famous names from our history: Buffalo Bill Cody, Wyatt Earp, Wild Bill Hickok, Bret Harte and of course Lee Loomis, William Fargo and Henry Wells.
