Fellow Citizen Discounting Building Lots for Veterans to Build New Homes

A former Educator and Congressional Candidate is discounting building lots for veterans to be able to afford more home than usual in Fluvanna County Virginia.

William A. Foster, III, Ph.D., is going to contribute a portion of his potential earnings in a discount to veterans that may want to and is looking to build a new home. Foster is developing a 50 lot subdivision that includes a lake, walking trails, a park and possibly a nine hole golf course on some 50 plus acres of land he owns in Fluvanna County Va. He intends to give back to veterans that have been fighting to give us the freedom we enjoy here in this great country. The land is situated 34 miles West of Richmond and 32 miles East of Charlottesville Va. This equates to a 2.5 hr trip to Washington D.C., 2.5 hr. trip to Va. Beach, 1.5 hr. to Bush Gardens in Williamsburg, 1.5 hr trip to Jamestown Colony, 1.25 hr trip to Kings Dominion theme park and 20 minutes to lake Monticello. Foster said he was surfing the web when he ran across the website Wounded Warriors (www.woundedwarriors.org).  It is a site set up by Colonel John Folsom, a retired military marine that is giving vacations to families of wounded troops. A second site that inspired Foster was the Homes For Our Troops site www.homesforourtroops.org.

"There are companies, contractors, tradesmen, etc… willing to donate all kinds of In-Kind services to make sure our troops are provided for and I’m going to do my part as well! I will solicit their help to make these homes as affordable as possible."

Foster believes, like most Americans, that there is not enough being done to make sure these men and women that leave their families, their home, and their country to fight in far away places should have the best resources available at their beckon call when they return.

What happens to the families that once had the dream of one day having home ownership? This Country has to bear some responsibility and make sure we provide for those families that have loved ones not returning as they left, and that means from coming back in a casket or without all the LIMS and Mental capacity they left here with!!! We are a Nation with great resources, there is no reason we can’t do better by our military, It really ______me off that more is not done!!
