Veterans support Veteran’s

by Peter Macdonald

The American Legion, VFW, Elk’s club and many more discriminate and leave Veterans on the battle field fighting with no support unless it meets these club’s benefit.  My VA medical has been restored but I am still red flagged. I am rated 120% disabled from injuries received during active duty.

I will give credit to the NH Veteran’s Task Force for getting my VA medical care restored. The NHVTF wants to distort my record so they can justify not supporting me further. I was injured in a car accident right out of Parris Island. I received a Traumatic Brain injury, I to this day do not remember a single event prior to the accident, I do not remember my child hood. I have short and long term memory problems, I can not read a book with out it mentally effecting me…

I have a broken back from a support mission during a Vietnam Conflict offensive. I have a loss of hearing from being blown off a runway during another offensive. I did eight convoys as an Americana Advisor delivering surplus supplies to friendly camps deep in the bush of Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. My first kill was with a bayonet on one of these convoys.

Last year I was diagnosed with PTSD.

I tell the NHVTF that I am not a hero. I have not and am not eligible for a purple heart. The percentage of each disability added together rates me 120% disabled. I am just a returning Veteran that is disabled.

The NH government has harmed my character in the public eye to cause the public to not want to help me. This is a crime against our Constitution. When the State of NH and the Veterans Administration use a disabled Veteran’s health care to stop anyone’s free speech, this is a crime of the highest magnitude.

The NHVTF wants me to allow this criminal act of stopping a DAV health care for political gain to be justified.

I can not let what NH and the VA did happen to another disabled veteran. The news media censors the words of this Veteran. I volunteer to help others. I have violated no laws. I have committed no crimes.

Discrimination by the NH governor, government, courts, clubs and the Federal government is outrageous. I am only one disabled Veteran that has asked for help and been left on the battlefield in the middle of a battle alone to die.

I should never have been allowed to return to this country that I love. This is why you that have never been there understand can conceive why suicide is such a sweet option.

I carry this “Red Flag” with pride even though your meaning is shame.
