GORDON DUFF: Nasty Insider News for Those Not Paying Attention

BY Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

I note today articles about the success of our surge or discussions about PTSD, our huge COLA allowance, which will obviously move me into a new Mercedes and more missives.  If we read behind the news, we find Senator George McGovern, the guy Nixon beat that turned out to be, for those of us with guts to admit it, potentially the best president of the century.  Instead, McGovern, always right in everything he says, always sensible, always a man of honor, and, by the way, a decorated World War 2 combat vet, gets a rise out of the Limbaugh crowd and is totally ignored by the dumbshit do nothing Democraps now fighting over what they can steal if anything is left after years of Republican looting.

McGovern has called for immediate impeachment of Bush and Cheney.  He says there are dozens of provable counts and that Nixon was a boy scout compared  to the current crowd.  I actually miss President Nixon.  He was a vicious and hateful crook.  Now he seems almost “loveable”.  People say Bush hasn’t done anything good.  What fools.

Anyone who thinks the past 25 years (exempt Clinton) of massive debt wasn’t simple theft by congress and their cronies has got to be either a neocon or pinko liberal nutcase.  Either way, both groups have alot to get excited about with the field of candidates running for office.  One of my friends, who I have to take seriously (I hate that) tells me that Ron Paul actually knows what he is talking about and should be president.  However, thinking about that makes my head hurt real bad……………….

On the foreign front, we have now taken up to kissing Iran’s ass.  If anyone is missing this, they can watch the Turks fly jets into Iraq and kill our Kurdish allies for pissing off Turkey and IRAN!!!  Daddy Bush let Saddam murder the Kurds, so nothing is new here.  Problem for us, of course, is that the Kurds may actually be the only really decent people in the middle east.  Perhaps we should let them all be killed.  Heaven forbid should we stand up to Turkey, now a crazed Islamic state that is of no use to us or anyone with the exception that they are letting every company in the EU build plants that spew pollution and are poisoning the entire region.

Driving thru Turkey a couple of years ago, I got to see the paint melt off a new car simply from driving south out of Istanbul to Izmir.  Do we want to discuss breathing?  The air was like sticking your head in a bucket of bleach, drano, ammonia and cat piss.  However, the factories were lined up for mile after mile with famous German and French names on them and blue, red and yellow smoke coming out of every stack, door and window.  Yes, we should let Turkey kill whoever they want.  I’m all for it.  However, I will remind you, they have great food in Turkey and the people are pretty cool.

If anyone has been looking lately, Pakistan has gone totally nuts.  Thank G-d they are a nuclear power with a huge nutcase religious majority, hate the US but are invisible to our government and news sources.  I love it when entire countries become invisible.

We can all love Russia again.  There is no worry of them becoming communist.  They are rebuilding their army but, instead of communism, the entire country has been purchased by Vladimir Putin.  He is going to run it as a duchy.  It can be like going to Liechtenstein but bigger and with oil and thousands of nuclear weapons.  Maybe they can move the whole country, perhaps after shrinking it down a bit, and put it inside Switzerland and print funny postage stamps.

I hope we are winning the war in Iraq and the Global War on Terrorism.  All of this is based on the concept that everyone who doesn’t believe that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and sits at the right hand of God waiting to throw down thunder bolts at the wicked needs to be nuked out of existence.  About half of congress believes this literally and a very substantial number of them state this regularly.

Several dozen members of congress believe that the earth is less than 10,000 years old.  A couple of dozen members of congress have a sexual fondness for children.    A couple of hundred members of congress, by any sensible standard, don’t have a clue what they are doing.  I can think of about ten more statements I could make about congress and yet still find them more dependable and sensible than the executive branch.

Both are better than the supreme court.

I would suggest that we try voting all the really bad people out of office, except, of course, that the people really don’t chose who runs for office and many states still have voting machines.  I am thinking of inviting representatives of the newly elected government of Kenya to supervise our next election.

and so it goes
