Wounded Warrior Act Bill of 2007

The Wounded Warrior Act Bill of 2007 and the Retirement Restitution Act is there for the soldiers returning from war.. 

The purpose of these bills are to direct government agencies, Dept Of Defense and Veterans Administration to start treating soldiers who return from War, Iraq, Afghanistan, with RESPECT.  Soldiers went to war to only return to a government who created a system to deny them their rights. A  soldiers right to medical treatment and a right to benefits  have been grossly violated. Many soldiers like myself lost their retirement because they went to war.

Many soldiers lost their life and body limbs and their families endured a nightmare getting financial and medical support.
 
Once again I am concerned that the information that I give you is falling on def ears and that due process is being grossly delayed. 
 
Prior to deploying to Iraq I had almost sixteen years active duty.  Many soldiers who returned from the combat zone with war wounds and who were receiving physical  therapy were allowed to move on to a desk job to finish  their careers.  I was denied such a request and put out on a Medical Discharge and lost EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 

I had almost Eighteen years active duty and twenty six years total military time in service when I was Medically Discharged.  .  Like 99% of all the soldiers put out on a medical board, I too was evaluated on 20% service connected.  Thirty percent 30% would have allowed me full benefits. It was the norm to discharge a soldier at 20% regardless….
 
I like many other Wounded Warriors were deceived by our own government and the hired workers at Ft Stewart Georgia Medical Hold Battalion.
 
My request to continue on physical rehabilitation was denied. I was making improvement. If I would have been extended, I would have made more improvement in rehab and could have reached my twenty year retirement.  Gross negligence on Physician Hynel and the case workers at Ft Stewart Georgia prevented this from happening.

I deployed to 9/11 in New York for twelve days. I then went to Iraq and was injured while receiving enemy fire. I was wrongfully discharged and was making progress in physical rehab.
 
If I would have refused to go to Iraq, I would have been locked up in a Federal jail and would to this day still be there.  Instead, I went to war and lost my retirement. I lost my lively hood due to the United States Government hiring workers to "Get rid of the dead wood"
 
Ft Stewart Ga, Texas and other military  medical facilities did this to many soldiers returning from war.
 
Please send me a short brief on the status of my case.  Also I would like a copy of the statute or law that states that the Veterans Administration can take out $500.00 from my war disability to pay back the severance pay that I received from the Department of Defense.  Soldiers who get injured in war and received an enlisted bonus are exempt from paying back that bonus. Initially, Department of Defense attempted to make soldiers pay back this money.  The law now states that no soldier injured in combat is required to pay back the sign on bonus.
 
Why do soldiers have to pay back a severance pay? If a soldier gets injured in combat and is forced to take a medical discharge they should not have to pay back any severance pay.  The Veterans Administration is forcing soldiers to pay back their severance pay and then having them pay it back until they turn age 62 retirement age.  The V.A. is then saying that a soldier will at that time regain that $500.00 loss each month.  This  money should not have to be payed back.  I lost my retirement because I went to war and now I a told to pay back $500.00 each month until I turn age 62.  Something is seriously fishy here. 
 
Please forward this e-mail to your supervisor.  I would like to schedule an appointment to speak with your higher on the phone Your agency was hired to assist soldiers returning from war.  I have sent prior e-mails and directed you to the appropriate political contacts to get the Wounded Warrior Act and the Retirement Restitution Act.  Many soldiers have PTSD and severe Brain injuries that prevent them from even the easiest task of counting their money. 
 
I have sent prior e-mail contacts to you and feel that these agencies would be of great assistance in informing soldiers about your agency and its function.

Please address the above Bills to Congress.  My concern is that The Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs are moving to slow in responding to the directives presented to them.  Soldiers need support now.  The Veterans Administration was permitted to use the Television as a means of informing the public on their new goals and objectives.  To date, I have yet to see any progress in this area.
