HELL IN A HANDBASKET, POOR TRANSPORATION…BUT YOU DON’T HAVE TO BUY GAS

I feel a continual need to howl at the moon sometimes. For years I told everyone I knew that the tax cuts and defense waste was going to put us in a recession. For those of us living in middle America, jobs are a near impossibility outside healthcare. Seems Americans only know how to get sick. If we only knew how to pay for it, we would really have something going.
I see an article on Agent Orange in Korea. As a Vietnam agent orange victim, I know the lawsuit settled years ago was a total joke paying a pittance to a few and millions to lawyers. I follow corruption around the world but they learn it all here. We are the leaders of all time. I expect to die of an agent orange related disease. My friends have them. I have survived one. They will get us all. Nobody will care. Nobody ever does except on veterans day or during the proper sound bite during a debate.
Gas will be going down. Recession does that. Huge new supplies of oil are going to be coming on the market and pricing, I am predicting will go from obscene to just plain terrible. Americans will pay for the next 50 years for letting their government sell out the constitution and borrow themselves under the control of Communist China. I people think economic slavery to China is conservative values I will not be able to educate them…
I am being told that we will have endless PTSD vets to deal with. Since the US has been ignoring vets since the War of Independence (when ripoff specialists managed to cheat vets out of their bonuses….many of whom were "framers" of the constitution that we recently shitcanned as part of the Global War on Terrorism)
I still talk to my buddy Mark. He was a congressman and Ambassador to the UN under Reagan. Our government is trying to frame him for money laundering under the most insane circumstances possible. We are actually trying to jail for terrorism one of the biggest enemies of terrorism on the planet. Even former Secretary of State James Baker, Former Attorney General Ed Meese and dozens of other top conservatives say so. It is living proof that we have gone insane. I now know that anyone can be arrested for anything at any time. It would make more sense arresting people in their homes for watching the Super Bowl. This is that crazy……
On foreign issues, I just returned from a trip to Iraq. It is clear that we are negotiating a pullout with the government right now, who is in the process of selling us down the river while welcoming Iran. Next will be China, Russia or worse. Expect to see Chavez in Baghdad.
This all reminds me of Vietnam. Nixon announced a pullout. We now have two presidential candidates announcing a pullout, one who says he will stay 100 years but General Petraeus is negotiating the terms of our withdrawal right now. He is actually doing his best and is a talented guy. Obviously, we will have people there and keep some capabilities. As to whether we are screwed out of everything else may be the fault of the Bush administration.
Few of you out there that may still consider yourselves as "Bush supporters" have ever really met a "Bush Pioneer"…big donate guy buying crooked favors wholesale. Meeting them in person without at least a quality hand axe can seem very frustrating.
I want oil prices down and I want the US to have full access to oil there, Venezulea, Cambodia, Ghana and elsewhere. Without an organized foreign policy, this will never happen. I am not sure about our foreign policy. This is an election year and we can’t sit on our fat asses waiting for a new government to come in and then waiting longer for them to learn the rules.
I actually talked to people at the State Department today. The woman who answered the phone was the top scoring IQ. The higher I got, the more it seemed like they had put a phone in the Zombie Ward. Eliminating the entire State Department is as valid now as when it was suggested by McCarthy years ago. Then it was communists. Are brainless nutcases worse than communists? I think yes.
Russia and China are eating the world while we sit on our asses. I see a couple of new wars in our future even if we have a democrat in the Whitehouse. The third world is making sticking it to the US a habit since we have decided to "go it alone". That has started to change some, but we have to restore our military capabilities after Iran. Now, at least we have the French with us. Runny cheese and a quick surrender adds an aspect of "Keystone Cops" to every conflict.
Pakistan is a nightmare and without a good relationship with India, we are screwed. I wouldnt want to have to make those decisions.
The more wars we win the more terrorism we will be faced with. It is the price of winning. Terrorism is the tool of losers and the victims of terrorism are always the winners of the wars. How do we wish ourselves good luck when good luck will get us killed?
Of course, as Mark tells us, Islamic fundamentalism is going to give us decades of killing unless we can learn to defuse conflict without playing the cowboy. We have to be smarter, not stronger. Stronger doesn’t work when any idiot with a gun can shoot an American soldier in the back in Baghdad and consider himself a success.

Years ago, the person who placed second in the presidential race became vice president. Maybe we should think of this again. I like John McCain but I think he doesn’t always use his head. I like what Hillary says but know she answers to a higher power than Bill or even G-d.
