hobo2WAR IN IRAQ DECLARED A VICTORY, TROOPS CAN COME HOME IMMEDIATELY

AKA, BLIND CAN SEE…LAME CAN WALK….DEAD CAN BE RETURNED TO LIFE

BY G. DUFF

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag, we are told the war is over, though we may need to be there for 100 years.  Ignore the Shiite battles today.  Ignore Afghanistan.

I am still trying to figure out what it was all about.  Like Vietnam, it seems like people will wait til we leave and one side will take over or there will be civil war or 3 countries.  Maybe Iran will take part and Syria the other.  Maybe Kuwait will invade.

Pakistan is a nuclear power already.  Their scientists run around the world helping anyone who pays them get the bomb.  Our friends there no longer control the country.  Our enemies do.  Without moving, Pakistan who has the bomb may become a huge enemy any day now.  We can invade them.  They have missiles, nuclear weapons and nearly as many people as we do.

But, of course, we forget.  We aren’t even doing all that well in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq has taken another nasty turn today.  We are also ignoring several wars in Africa too.

Then there is the minor problem that we are broke, going into a recession (depression) and our financial institutions and currency are disappearing under BushDEBT.

We could talk about the upcoming election where we have 3 candidates selected by a process none of us chose who will work for special interest groups as part of a government that we lost control of years ago.

Perhaps we need to start talking realistically.  What kind of government do we want?  What kind of country?  Do we want health care for the rich only or for everyone?  Is our health care system a big scam anyway like almost everything else here from mortgage companies to banks?

Are any of us noticing that we seem to have a huge difference between rich and poor and more people are becoming poor than rich?  Are your kids going to be rich or live in apartments, work two jobs and hope they can feed their own kids?  Perhaps we can all get extra jobs, which don’t seem to exist, just to buy gas and get medical and dental bills paid for our grand children.

We talk about terrorism when real terror is starvation, having your home reposessed, losing your job and self respect.  By that definition, Bush is the biggest terrorist in world history.

Wait, nobody is starving.  Food is still cheap, or was.  Go to the store.  Bread is way up.  Milk is way up.  Flour is way up.  Meat is way up.  Everything is way up including the gas to get you to the store, the power to cook the food, the taxes you pay on everything…..all of it is way up except the money you receive if you still have a job.

Thieves and liars.
