15 Travel to Vietnam with Memorial Fund Delegation

by Lisa Gough

In just a few short days, 15 individuals from around the United States will be taking part in a 10-day trip to Vietnam with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. These individuals include Vietnam veterans, family members, widows of veterans and educators. All of them have special reasons for wanting to return in peacetime to a place where their memories from decades before are shaded by war.

The delegation is being led by Memorial Fund Founder and President Jan Scruggs and former U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Michael Marine. From Aug. 1-10, the delegates will tour the country, from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, exploring places of historical interest, as well as areas significant during the Vietnam War. Delegates will also get a close-up look at Project RENEW, the Memorial Fund’s mine action and humanitarian program in Vietnam.

For more information about the trip and the delegates, read the entire press release here: http://www.vvmf.org/index.cfm?SectionID=696.

All of the delegates named in the press release will be happy to talk with the press. Feel free to call me if you have any questions about this delegation or would like to get in touch with the delegates.
