The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, along with local officials in Quang Tri Province, will be dedicating a cultural community center and preschool complex in Ha Bac Village, Vietnam, at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

The complex was built for the Van Kieu ethnic minority tribe and will be used to host educational workshops about land mines, income generation and health care. The complex was funded through donations from two Vietnam veterans: Florida businessman Jimmy Mosconis, who will speak at the dedication, and New York Stock Exchange Chairman Marshall Carter.

The dedication will take place during a 10-day delegation to Vietnam sponsored by the Memorial Fund that will tour Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Delegates will spend two days in Quang Tri Province touring the operations of the Memorial Fund’s humanitarian program in Vietnam, Project RENEW.
