Veterans Awareness Day and Walkathon ‘March’ Friday August 29th, 2008   10 AM – 2 PM

Every Veteran and Veteran Supporter needs to assemble and march to make sure that our elected officials are aware of Veterans’ needs:

·         Full Mandatory Funding of VA Healthcare and Related Services
·         Full Eligibility for VA Healthcare for ALL Veterans that are Eligible
·         Full Benefits for Filipino Veterans of WW II
·         End of Veteran Homelessness
·         Full Funding for Veterans Mental Health

All Veterans are defenders of our nation, and they all gave for their country, and some gave everything they were and more!

     

 

Join any of the 3 Groups that will be assembling at the FOLLOWING LOCATIONS and ending at the Daley Plaza, groups assembling at 10 AM with the March beginning at 11 AM:

·         Group 1:   Tribune Tower, 435 N. Michigan Ave.
·         Group 2:   100 N. Des Plaines, corner of Des Plaines and    Washington
·         Group 3:   NW corner of Van Buren and State St.

Finish: Rally at the Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington, Chicago IL
Order of Appearance of groups as follows:

Services for Veterans and Non-Veterans that need assistance will also be provided. Buses will be used as cooling centers and emergency services if so needed.
