Mr. Crosby, Psy. D. just wrote a book and it has just been released by Dog Ear publishing.

Based on his work counseling military personnel who suffered from traumatic experiences during their military service, Jeremy P. Crosby has produced A Mind Frozen in Time, a comprehensive guide for anyone who suffers from PTSD, or long reading passages, the book is broken down into outline format and short chapters.

A Mind Frozen in Time emphasizes education and understanding of PTSD before introducing coping skills and treatment strategies. In the first section, readers can answer questions about themselves and their symptoms to determine it they suffer from PTSD. Much of the book focuses on educating readers about the nature of PTSD and how it is manifested. The rest of the book is devoted to coping strategies and recovery. There are lengthy sections on anger and stress management.

     

Therapists who work with PTSD patients can also use A Mind Frozen in Time, giving excerpts to their patients and read or using various chapters as an outline for group therapy sessions. In spite of its user-friendly format, Crosby’s guide is comprehensive both in its description of PTSD and the various treatment options available today.
