Culture Project, a New York City theater company best known for producing work that sheds light on pressing human rights and social justice issues, introduces their upcoming show, Temple University’s acclaimed production of In Conflict.
In Conflict is a series of candid interviews with 17 returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans whose lives have been forever changed by their unpredictable experiences in war. Featuring men and women from all branches and ranks, Republican and Democrat, straight and gay, immigrants and natives, these remarkable veterans represent America and its complexity. The cast of eleven, all student actors who have been with the show for its entire journey, are the same age as the majority of today’s troops and causalities — a generation that is paying the highest price for this war.
After winning awards both in Philadelphia and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, In Conflict is now coming to New York City’s Barrow Street Theater.
The producers view In Conflict as an extraordinary opportunity for dialogue about the experiences of veterans and the issues they face upon returning home.
It is their hope to partner with organizations engaged in these issues to create a broader educational and outreach campaign surrounding the production. In an effort to reach out to veterans and those communities that have served our country in times of conflict, they are asking all of us to spread the word about this magnificent show by forwarding this article to your network of Veterans or posting the show on your web site or in your calendar.
