While Admiral Stockdale was a fine soldier, he was NOT prepared to be the V.P., let alone President.
When he went on the national stage, he flopped badly and it was painful to watch.
All of us grimaced while he struggled to communicate in the debates when he was Ross Perot’s running mate back in 1992.

After watching Gov. Palin’s first real national interview with ABC’s Charlie Gibson, I felt the same sadness.  I was NOT happy about it.  I was sick to my stomach.

My first thought, OMG, this woman has no clue when it comes to foreign affairs and America’s role in the world.  She truly scared me.  When she tried to answer the BUSH DOCTRINE question, I was taken to extreme sadness as she squirmed and twitched trying to find a way out.

This woman looked like a scared 3rd grader who got asked a question by the teacher that she did not know the answer to and tried to cover it up with a response that only confirmed her lack of knowledge to those of us in the class.  It was truly embarrassing.  The problem was that we were all watching this train wreck and if you’re like me, you are not full of “I told you so” but truly saddened by this terrible truth.

OMG, She’s not prepared and is in over her head.  It’s just that simple. And it’s unacceptable.

It would be funny if she was running for President of the PTA Club, but it’s NOT funny because this is very serious business.
It’s not acceptable at this stage of the game.

Even the Republican surrogates on TV tried their best to spin it but it was just un-spin-able. Not even Karl Rove can spin this lost lady.
It’s too late to fake it folks.

Frankly, I am very angry at McCain for picking such a person for V.P.  I actually like the guy.  But this thing really gets me and I can’t let it go. 

There were many other choices he could have made and many other qualified woman like Kay Bayley Hutchison or others.  She may be an attack dog that reads written speeches well, but it comes to global leadership, she is completely unprepared and ignorant.  America can’t afford this, not now, not ever!

We’ve had enough of embarrassment with G.W. and his poor command of the English language.  It’s not cute anymore.  It truly diminishes our ability to win friends and influence people.  I mean, it’s cute for a layperson but I don’t want a Hockey Dad or Mom for President, I want a leader.  I want America’s best and highly educated.

This is not disparaging against Gov. Palin. She seems like a nice lady of the community but I don’t want that.  I want a sharp tough leader who’s impressive and is a master of the issues, not a novice.

This is NOT sexist.  I supported Hilliary because she was sharp, experienced, and mastered the issues and she’s NOT a hockey Mom
There is no comparison here…..its’ just common sense.

In my view, we need leaders that represent our country globally with other world leaders, not an attack dog that has NO clue on the global stage.  This is completely unacceptable!

Finally, she’s not to blame.  I hold John McCain responsible.  And I frankly hope, for the sake our country, the McCain / Palin ticket loses the election because we really can’t afford a leader like McCain who so carelessly chooses his Vice President.

Like Admiral Stockdale, a hero, McCain ought not be elected to high office.
