I can’t imagine what punishment Republicans, yes, they are the ones who did it, deserve for what happened today. Every responsible economist said it would happen but Bush didn’t listen. He kept cutting taxes to his rich friends and borrowing the money from the Chinese and Russians. Now they own our souls, our banking system has collapsed and the Federal Reserve System is flat broke and helpless.
Banks around the world are throwing money into the US financial system. The NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) opened yesterday, Sunday, in an attempt to stop 152 year old Lehman Brothers, one of the biggest financial houses in the world, from collapsing. They failed. Even 148 year old Merrill Lynch collapsed and was bought by Bank of America. Every expert agrees on one thing, this is only the beginning. What does this mean to regular people?
It happened quietly today, no collapsing buildings, no Rudi Guiliani pounding his chest, no “W” reading to kindergarteners, oblivious to the disaster around him. When a bank falls and then another, no sound is made and few know what it means. Only one American in a hundred can explain how banks and money make for power and respect.
When you have money, you have power. When you have no money, chickenshit Venezuela and their petty nutcase leader Chavez kicks sand in our faces. When you have no money, even a country like Iraq, a country you conquered, shed blood for and spent (or misspent) billions to rebuild, can tell you to “take a hike.”
The next time an American president makes a foreign policy decision, he will have to ask Russia and China for permission. No, I am not kidding. They hold so much Bush era debt that if they asked for their money back, the next time you bought a loaf of bread it would be ten bucks or more. (like in Switzerland)
If the last vote you made was to save America from terrorism or keep evil Negroes from moving next door, and you thought voting for the promises the oil company stooges, Bush and Cheney, was a good decision, it is too late. It won’t do any good to tell you to wake up, grow up and stop listening to idiots. You are already dead but may not know it yet. Just wait, you will.
Not only that, you killed your children and grandchildren. I can’ imagine why anyone would want to be president with the disaster the idiot in office and his flock of scramble brained chickens has caused. McCain and Palin are, frankly, too stupid too understand and I have a strong suspicion Obama and Biden have let their ‘god complex’ get the better of them.

Finally we have reached a point where NO AMERICAN is unqualified to be president no matter how useless and obnoxious.
The big money boys behind the newspapers woke up a few days ago realizing that McCain is probably dying and Palin is a total idiot and too stupid to know it (or do what she is told). The same papers that cheered for Bush and backed the Clinton impeachment are filling the headlines with stories of Palin’s busybody husband, “knocked-up” daughter, drugged up son and a dozen other “just add water” scandals which may or may not be true. Reading something in a newspaper should, by now, mean absolutely nothing to anyone.
Even Karl Rove, long accused of being the “deputy assistant anti-Christ” has turned on McCain (again). If you can’t be greedy, incompetent and corrupt and depend on Karl Rove supporting you, there is nothing solid left for any of us to hold onto.
What can you expect and what can you do? I would like to say, “vote for Obama and Biden.” It is probably, probably the right thing but writing this makes me hurt in a very unpleasant place best left unmentioned. Wall Street wants Obama and the oil boys want McCain. Biden should be president. As for who the people should want, that question doesn’t matter. The “people” have no voice in politics.
If you did have a candidate run for office that knew what he was doing, people would turn on him as though he were Christ carrying the cross. Think about Ron Paul. Look at who he is and what he says. Just because he was the best candidate means nothing. Look at the people flocking around that freak Palin, who Ron Paul wouldn’t let wash his car (not properly clothed anyway).
Be prepared to have your kids move back home. Be sure you still have a home for them to move back to. Watch your cash. Anyone who thinks buying billions in Chinese consumer electronics is going to put people to work here is “dumb as Bush.”
