Take a Stand to Pray for Those Who Have Taken a Stand for Your Freedoms

CAROL STREAM, IL – The yellow ribbon is a symbol of hope for those who are waiting. Displaying it on a car, in a window, or wrapped around a tree is a statement of support for those who are taking a stand for freedom. So many people are affected by the absence of those who left home to serve our country overseas during this time of war. Many feel helpless as they try to support their loved ones from an ocean away. Brenda Pace and Carol McGlothlin know from firsthand experience the challenge and joy that comes from supporting a family member in the military.

Their new book, The One Year© Yellow Ribbon Devotional (Tyndale House Publishers, October 2008) is meant to bring hope in the midst of tough times. The Yellow Ribbon Devotional includes daily encouragement and prayer items for our country, soldiers, and all those in harm’s way. It also gives those in the civilian community a greater understanding of the military culture and equips civilian churches to develop an outreach to military families.

“The call to take a stand in prayer on behalf of our nation, and for those who serve, is one we can all answer,” say Brenda and Carol.
As those left behind struggle to find contentment and hope, this devotional will meet their needs as well as encourage all Americans to take a stand by praying for their country and the men and women serving overseas.
