The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund has received a grant for nearly $290,000 from the U.S. State Department to fund its humanitarian and mine-action program in Vietnam, called Project RENEW.
The most recent grant, which totals nearly $290,000, will help expand Project RENEW’s humanitarian and mine assistance activities into Cam Lo District of Quang Tri Province. Currently, Project RENEW operates in three districts in Quang Tri.
This is the fifth State Department grant Project RENEW has received since 2003. These grants fund health care initiatives, first aid training and mine removal.
For more information about the grant and about Project RENEW, read the entire press release here: http://www.vvmf.org/index.cfm?SectionID=716.
If you have questions, feel free to call me. If you are in Vietnam, you can also call Project RENEW representative Chuck Searcy at (844) 943 8061.
