Route 9 Veterans Forum Supports Christmas for Adolescents

Be an Elf for Bill Moore and the Route 9 Veterans Forum 2008 Christmas for Adolescents Gift Drive Operation Santa Surprize 2008

by William H. Moore, M.A

I am contacting you and your business again in 2008 for a donation to my annual "Christmas for Adolescent".  Back in 1997 while working for the Department of Social Services as an adolescent social worker it was apparent to me that most of the donations received from the public were for younger children and most of the adolescents were left without a holiday gift.  So began the Bill Moore’s Christmas for Adolescents Gift Drive.

All donations received are disbursed to adolescents and families in need through my Route 9 Veterans Forum and Veteran Organizations that I am affiliated with so that these adolescents and military children and families can have an enjoyable holiday.  Our Veterans and there families deserves our support, respect, gratitude and deepest thanks. Money donations can be made out to:   Bill Moore – Christmas for Adolescents

Every one knows that it’s not easy being a teenager these days.  But imagine facing the challenges of adolescents in addition to having a parents serving in a war zone or bearing a tragic past of physical, emotional, sexual abuse, abandonment or neglect.  For hundreds of Greater Worcester teens in Foster Care or living on there own it’s a daily struggle to overcome fear, sadness, low self esteem and feeling of isolation while striving to achieve academically, personally and financially.

I am making every effort to make their holiday special and memorable and through Operation Santa Surprize 2008.  This program will be successful because of the on-going community support.  It is reassuring to know that our community can still find it in there hearts to give so unselfishly even with so much uncertainty in our world.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience!  Please go to: “Google Media” and type in Route 9 Veterans Forum and view one of my 1 hour cable access shows dealing with Veteran issues.
