Daily Talking Points Undermine American Values

WORSE THAN TREASON

By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER

Of all the revelations the recent campaign exposed, the long suspected fact that the government sends directions to TV and newspapers as to what to report should be no surprise.  The so called "talking points" that Limbaugh, Fox and dozens of others individuals, TV stations and national networks received daily, all while operating under government licenses making such behavior illegal, represents a vast fraud on the American people by its own government.

What all of this means is that when you hear your favorite, or as with most ‘not so favorite’ pundit in the "liberal press" or on TV or radio, using publicly licensed frequencies, they are saying what the Bush Whitehouse told them to say that day.  This, of course, means we don’t have a free press, but rather a government controlled press.

Were this not the most unpopular government in American history, the most corrupt and with the most to hide, control of the press might not seem as bad.  We censored news during wartime, or at least tried to.  Now we program the news, sending out what has been clearly proven to be total lies and fabrications, paid for by the American people, all in violation of our own laws, meant to control public opinion, influence elections, reinforce illegal wars, cover up corrupt acts and "spin" stories to prevent people from understanding the truth about the collapse of American freedoms.

"Talking points" were used to start the Iraq War, a war President Bush now admits was based on "bad information."  Does anyone see the irony here?

"They" took away our free press as part of a program that ended up with them taking our money, our jobs and now even our homes.  Pundits, most of whom were draft dodgers themselves, while talking "support the troops" took orders from government hacks on the payroll of big oil.

The end result has been a bankrupt country, massive profits for oil companies and a government nobody admits ever electing to office.  It is, in truth, very likely our current government was never freely elected at all.  How could we learn the truth if trillions, not billions, trillions in stolen money buys and sells "truth" in America.  We just finished an election where nearly every word out of the mouth of Sarah Palin and her running mate, I forget his name, was not only lies, but bordering on treason.  Running from state to state advocating murder and insurrection is probably still a crime.

For 8 years, semi-trained monkeys, many in uniform and many in suits, stuffed and padded to enhance their manliness, stood next to the troops we sacrificed in order to pass billions in ‘no bid’ contracts to political pals.  When the same troops were wounded or wanted their jobs back, they suddenly became "welfare trash."  Pundits were too busy talking gasoline prices thru the roof during a worldwide oil glut to worry about jobs for veterans or the the biggest government sponsored financial disaster in American history.

Every network that accepted "talking points" needs to be closed down.  Every reporter and pundit who took direction from the "Ministry of Propaganda" needs to be silenced and banned.  9/11 was nothing compared to the damage the gangsters in the Whitehouse and their press stooges have done.  How serious does a crime have to be before we start calling treason what it is?

Building a "lie machine" out of taxpayer money, spent abusing our laws and values, lying to our people and our troops is worse than a crime.  No foreign enemy could do more to destroy what our country stands for more than the scum we have allowed to take over.

When we found the Maryland police were putting anti-Bush groups on the list with terrorist organizations, not one word was said by any pundit.

When the VA was found destroying records of injured vets, not one word was said by any pundit.

When, decades late, Gulf War Syndrome was found to have destroyed thousands, not one word was said by any pundit.

When Haliburton was sued for selling poisoned water and food to our troops in Iraq, not one word was said by any pundit.

When dozens of retired officers were exposed as paid liars on the Bush payroll, not one word was said by any pundit, especially themselves.

Are we going to tell our children the truth about what we allowed to happen in the name of patriotism?  How do we explain that we became "the enemy" ourselves? I may be a member of "the stupidest generation" but I won’t be a silent one.

Have we become so jaded that we can turn our back on anything?  Every day has been a new scandal for 8 years.  Every day we find our pundits and government controlled networks have lied and lied again.  We have proof they have been under illegal government control for 8 years.  Who is going to account?  Who is going to pay?

Who is going to prison?  Voting the criminals out of office is not enough.  Innoculating America against this kind of disease is the only answer.  We have the laws.  Maybe we should start arresting the real terrorists.
