Are We Backing the Wrong Side?
Does Israel Really Need our Bailout Money? What if……..
by Johnn Punish
Since it’s backing by President Harry S. Truman in 1948 and forward now for over 60 years, we have backed and bailed out Israel. Yes, BAILOUT! Every year on average we support them financially with billions in cash aid and another $ 5 billion or so in contracts, mostly for defense.
But is this investment wise? What is our return on the investment?
With a population of 6 million people and with a surrounding population of 300 million Arabs, what is the advantage to us to bailout the Isrealis? What? I never seem to get a reasonable answer that is pragmatic and sensible.
Yes, I have heard the old arguments from the past but this is the new era, a time of change and it’s time we stop bailing out countries that can’t survive on their own policy and ideas.
Furthermore, we ought to get monies back on our investments and not just simply throw our hard earned dollars into money pits with no end. For example, what if we invested our monies into the Arab countries with 300 million arabs or what I call prospects. Yeah, turn this big negative in a major asset and positive.
Would this be a prudent investment?
Well, for one thing, by investing and creating opportunity, we would be making friends and influencing people thus taking away the anger that is today’s atmosphere for our way of life. Yes, why be a terrorist? No need! We’re friends!
Even more pragmatic and practical, the Arabs have the oil. Not Israel. What are we backing them for? They offer us nothing in return for 60 years of investment. It’s time to call this investment a failure, take our losses, and look for a better place to invest.
I mean, it has no future and no fruit for us. If they idea of a religious state is a good idea, let them stand for it. For us, we just have to get our wayward U.S. Congress off their steady diet of AIPAC money so they can put America’s interest first and not Israels or anybody elses first!
It’s time to put America first.
It’s for a change.
