Enough is Enough! Israel has a Right to Defend Itself!

I am not an apologist for Israel.  I am not an apologist for the Palestinians.  I feel for both sides.  Both peoples are in constant agony, although on very different levels and for very different reasons.  It is probably true to a great extent that Israel has caused great suffering in Palestine.  It is very true, without doubt, that the Arab world has not given Israel a moment’s peace since she was born; actually since long before she was born. Both the Palestinians and the Israelis have taken turns in brutalizing the “other” side.  I want us all to reflect on this for a minute.  The entire situation is ridiculous.  Why?

First Reason:  Israelis and Palestinians are for the most part the exact same people right down to mitochondrial DNA.  They are not cousins.  They are siblings.   If you think I am telling a story here, read these blogs:

Anyone interested in reading science articles and laymen’s articles with a science bent on the issue of Jewish bloodlines and how they converge with various bloodlines around the world can read the following websites:

(1) CyrpoJews (2) Khazaria (3) Arab Genetics

Pay particular attention to the second paragraph of this article.  It states, in part, the following:  “At the haplotype level, determined by both binary and microsatellite markers, a more detailed pattern was observed. Single-step microsatellite networks of Arab and Jewish haplotypes revealed a common pool for a large portion of Y chromosomes, suggesting a relatively recent common ancestry. The two modal haplotypes in the I&P Arabs were closely related to the most frequent haplotype of Jews (the Cohen modal haplotype).”

And THIS website address and comment from the participating scientists is the most important of all: http://www.khazaria.com/genetics/abstracts-diseases.html .

“William Kavesh. "Jewish Genetic Diseases." In The Second Jewish Catalog, eds. Sharon Strassfeld and Michael Strassfeld (JPS, 1976). Excerpt from p. 57:

"Among non-Ashkenazic Jews, a number of diseases occur with increased frequency, Familial Mediterranean fever is a relatively rare condition afflicting Arabs, Armenians, and Sephardic Jews with periodic episodes of fever, abdominal and chest pains, and arthritis. How it came to affect these three groups is a question whose answer might provide an incentive to peace in the Middle East."

Second Reason:  Any nation on the face of the planet has a right to self defense and a right to exist.  Israel is a legal entity created by the United Nations on 14 May 1948  to put a dispossessed people back into their ancestral homeland so that worldwide anti-Semitic cruelty could at least be controlled to some extent by awarding these perennial refugees their ancestral homeland to some degree.  Were Palestinians screwed in the process of the creation of Israel?  That is a matter of debate.  Maybe yes, maybe no, I am not sure.  I will say one thing, Palestinians have the same right to national identity and national security as Israelis.  I think all western peoples would agree to that.  But that does not mean that it is “open season” on Israeli national security by any group that is anti-Zionist (geography)  or anti-Israel (politics)  or anti-Jewish (religion).  Israelis would not even be in this position if they were Christians or Muslims and lived among co-religionists.  This is a problem because they are neither Christians or Muslims and therefore must make do with being the eternal outsiders politically, religiously and culturally.    So what do we do?

Third Reason:  We work hard to secure Palestinian Statehood the only that it is going to be possible.  That way is this:  we must guarantee Israeli security at all times, from all sides, whether they be governments who oppose them or groups that hate them.  From the point of view of the Israeli being hurt or killed by a rocket lobbed into Israel, it makes no difference as to just who is killing them.  Someone is killing them.  And they must be stopped.  Is this so unreasonable?

I am not qualified in any way to be drug into a high level discussion of Arab-Israeli relations.  But I am a human being, although some of my enemies might dismiss that claim (yes, I have enemies).  As a human being, I do not want to see human beings suffer.  I do not want Palestinians killed by Israelis.  I do not want Israelis killed by terrorists masquerading as religionists.  These people are not Muslims.  I know Muslims, I have even dated a few.  Muslims are fair minded, decent, God centered people.  These people that lob rockets into Israel are terrorists.  They are not freedom fighers, they are not jihadists, they are not fully human.  They are murderers.

I am fully aware that Israel’s hands have not been totally clean in the sixty year history of modern Israel.  They have made mistakes.  They have over reacted at times, they have killed people many times in a knee jerk reaction to survive.  Our troops have done exactly the same thing in any war we have ever been involved.  War is a filthy and dirty business.  There is no way to wage it with clean hands.

I want peace.  All Westerners want peace.  Give Israel peace and they will give the Palestinians peace.  It is really that simple.
