The 3rd Annual PFC Brian Moquin Memorial Motorcycle Ride & Benefit is scheduled for May 16, 2009, 11am-8pm with registration starting at 9am. It will be held again at the Kas Bar Sports Bar 234 SW Cut off Rte 20 Worcester, MA. The event is organized in memory of 19yr old PFC Brian Moquin who selflessly lost his life along with nine fellow soldiers on May 5, 2006 in Afghanistan when thier helicopter crashed during combat operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The memorial ride will host many makes/models of motorcycles. However, all vehicles are welcome to participate in the ride, which will head north towards Mt. Watchusett in Princeton with a stop at the 140 Club in Sterling around noon on the way back. Afterwards, all are invited back to the Kas Bar for live music by Big Gunz, as well as food, raffles and a silent auction.

This year, event proceeds will benefit the Massachusetts Veterans Inc. and the PFC Brian Moquin Scholarship Fund. Proceeds from past events were donated to the Seven Hills Foundation, The American Red Cross and also the Shrewsbury School Dept. in Scholarships where Brian attended school. Those organizations are constantly giving to others so this is our way of giving back. "It is the least we can do for what Brian gave up for us." These benefits are to also honor all veterans & soldiers… Past, Present & Future. "May their sacrifices never be forgotten."

pfcbrianmoquinFor anyone who cannot attend the ride or benefit afterwards on May 16th, but would like to make a donation to help in our continuing efforts, donations can be sent to the Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union (Checks payable to "In Memory of PFC Brian Moquin) 615 Main St. Shrewsbury, MA 01545.

Thank you for your support. Please remember, whenever you see a veteran or soldier, I ask that you thank them for their service. As freedom is never free.

Registration/donation is $20.00 the day of the event. Additional information regarding the event is available by contacting Tracy Bissonnette at (508) 755-0817 or by email at [email protected].
