REPUBLICANS SUFFER “SMACK DOWN” ON STIMULUS PACKAGE
OBAMA CHOOSE AMERICAN PEOPLE OVER COMPROMISE

We had two things happen this week. It was announced, what many of us knew or suspected all along, that at least $18,000,000,000 in taxpayer money was stolen by GOP supporters who ran their companies into the ground then came to Washington begging for “bailout” money to “save America.”
They then stole the money while Bush was packing up his UHaul. The total cost of this last GOP fiasco is likely to run ten times that before we are done. Anyone who is surprised has been under a rock for 8 years.
TOUGH LOVE
The second thing was the Obama stimulus bill that passed without a single Republican vote. Finally we have someone who told the crooks to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine instead of the compromise we would have gotten from our previous spineless Democrats. Obama has been busy doing exactly what he was elected to and Republicans don’t like it. Call it “tough love.”
Billions will be spent on port security and to close the borders. After 8 years of “keeping America safe” by humiliating decent Americans at the Airport, destroying our alliances and organizing the Islamic world into a jihad against America, Obama will finally have our enemies at each other’s throats instead of ours. It will be nice to see American win for a change.
RUDI THE CLOWN, HERO IN HIS OWN MIND
The war on America’s unions is over. Anyone who bought in on the Limbaugh/Coulter idiocy that the years Republicans like Reagan and Bush spent moving Americans to minimum wage jobs was somehow going to build an economy is over. That was the cruelest lie of all. The last real idiot out there is Rudi Guliani, famed for running a PR firm with more American enemies as clients than any other.
Self appointed hero, Guliani thinks Wall Street’s theft of money meant to secure mortgages for millions of Americans will rebuild our economy thru “trickle down” voodoo. As usual, the plan is, GOP bigwigs steal the money. They put it in banks in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands.
Somehow the steel vaults magically dissolve and the money “trickles down” into the hands of waiting Americans who buy big SUV’s and join country clubs. If you want the complete plan in fair and balanced detail, turn on your radio, the “braying fatman” will give you the right thinking “truth.”
KEEP YOUR REAL ENEMIES CLOSE AS LONG AS THEY KEEP STUFFING BUCKS IN YOUR POCKET
If you want to find where you money has been “trickling down” to, look at Russia and China. Reagan and Bush moved it there and to Saudi Arabia. At least China and Russia don’t pay millions in bribe money to terrorist organizations. When a suicide bomber blows up American troops, who do you think buys their family a new home and pays them for life? Not the Russians and Chinese, I can assure you.
Our former Secretary of State, and former oil lawyer Condi Rice did a great job of representing crooked American banks and oil companies around the world. With Bush putting our military behind her, she made sure that the world kept money flowing into the right pockets.
THE GOP “GRAVY TRAIN’ TO HELL
Obama has given health insurance to 11 million MIDDLE CLASS children in the US. Poor kids have Medicaid, rich kids have money and the middle class has been the victim of an economic holocaust at the hands of the GOP unequaled by historical epochs of social reorganization since the Norman Conquest in 1066 or the Russian Revolution of 1917.
Talking about our economic direction, remember that “high tech” economy we were building? Remember the factories being built, then being closed, the technology outsourced to Germany, Italy and China? End result: money and jobs gone.
Remember our service economy? We were going to employ tens of millions of computer programers, managers, financial wizards and such. The computer programmers turned out to be cheaper when left in India and Pakistan and we managed and “wizarded” ourselves into a depression.
The service industry jobs became McDonalds, Bombay Outlet, Circuit City and Walmart and now half of them are gone. Jobs meant to be a living wage of $18 or more an hour turned into too few $7 dollar jobs and a generation of millions of working poor. The truth of the matter is that GOP trickle down theory has done little but create a new version of the “Dust Bowl” of the 30s.
THE IMAGINARY WAR ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
The biggest lie of all has been our program to stem the tide of illegal immigration. Finally we have it slowed down. All we had to do is kill ourselves by destroying even the minimum wage jobs illegal immigrants would accept and, surprise, they stop coming. For years, GOP groups like the US Chamber of Commerce, NAM (National Association of Manufacturers) and the huge agricultural lobby have pushed to make certain that any attempts to close off our borders would fail.
Illegal immigrants murdered the unions thru an endless supply of minimum wage “scab labor.” Unions supported the Democrats and union jobs paid wages that allowed people to buy American products. Unions insisted on it, as we well know. “Big Business” found more money in “outsourcing” jobs to China. Look around your house. Do you have anything less than 30 years old made in the US?
Think of the audacity. Destroy the unions, destroy the democrats, make billions off cheap illegal labor and scream bloody murder about the illegal aliens who take care of their kids, and detail their Land Rover while you look under your couch cushions for gas money.
CAN YOU COUNT THE SCAMS?
Our end result seems to be the first real leadership America has had in lifetime of most Americans. There really is hope that stem cell treatments will help the paralyzed walk again. We can really have the thousands of windmills providing low cost clean energy that Europe has depended on for decades.
We can stop throwing money at the ethanol scam meant to drive up food prices that stayed up even after market prices collapsed as ethanol plants proved unprofitable and closed.
Remember the talk about offshore drilling? In the last week, African and Middle Eastern nations approached the US about buying crude oil at discounts up to $16 under current “dirt cheap” prices. There were no takers. We are talking $25 oil here that would give pump prices of .79 per gallon. Even now, most oil is sold at $10 under Platts Marketscan pricing. Gas at the pumps is 30-40% over what it could be. Thus, little gas is sold, prices are less than half what they were months ago but oil companies are still making record profits? Does something smell here?
EXXON just made $45,000,000,000 in quarterly profits in the middle of a recession/depression? They are just one oil company. They are all playing the same game.
Think of this as TAXING A CORPSE. This is simply a GOP “one two punch.” Empty the banks and shake the remaining change out of our pockets at the gas pump or supermarket with rigged prices. Did you ever think you would be thankful for paying $2 a gallon for $1 a gallon gasoline? To imagine people actually think Bush and Cheney are stupid.
SMACKDOWN
“Undestroying America” is going to be a daunting task. I am sick of thinking of security as walking around barefoot in airports while a few thousand American kids sit on frozen mountain tops 8000 miles away shooting it out with tribesmen who have been at war for 200 years.
If the whole idea is to make sure we are continually at war with someone, we should simply go back to fighting the Vietnamese. They seem to have had so much more staying power than Iraq. I am certain that if we just go back to using some of that brilliant Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld diplomacy, we can get a war going there in no time.
My first step would be to take every officer in our military, slap a stripe on their sleeves, pay them $96 bucks a month and sit their behinds out in the mud all night with a semi-functional M-16 and a few of their golfing buddies for company.
War seems delightfully glamorous when zipping into work in a new BMW, knowing the more you moan about terrorism and wave the flag, the more money pours into pet projects that will eventually help you get that second vacation home.
What you won’t have to face is endless hours in a VA waiting room, sitting in a wheel chair wondering whether your first problem will be your bladder filling, your pain medication wearing off or staff forgetting you are even there.
