jordonelliottJordan Elliott Roberts, United States Air Force, Senior Airman, Firefighter, born November 9th, 1983, died unexpectedly on February 4, 2009. He graduated from Fred C. Beyer High School andof Modesto, CA. in 2002 and attended Modesto Junior College. Jordan’s dream since being a little boy was to be a fireman.

When he learned that the Air Force had a program he immediatley enlisted. He told his family that he wanted to be a fireman so he could give back, help people and to serve his country. This was the tender, caring heart of the wonderful young man who put others before himself.

As a child, Jordan always had a close buddy. He had a fun sense of humor and made friends easily, making people laugh with impersonations or just his sideways smile and twinkling eyes. Jordan loved the outdoors. He enjoyed snowboarding, camping, sailing, mountain biking, skateboarding and was learning the art of BBQ, something at which his father excelled. He was an avid video gamer.

Most of all, Jordan loved his family and friends, holding them close to his heart & thoughts. While home in June 2008, Jordan was proud to buy his first new car and drove across the country to his new duty station in Florida with his brother, Spencer. Along the way great stories, memories & lots of good music were shared that week. Jordan served his country for the past three years, completing a tour of duty in England and the Middle East.

He was happy to be reassigned to the United States and loved his job as a firefighter. While overseas, he and his unit were given a commendation for saving the life of a superior officer. He respected his supervisors, his coworkers, and was anticipating a career as a civilian firefighter.

Last year, Jordan reestablished contact with his high school friend, Morgan Strong. This developed into a loving relationship and they decided to marry on Jordan’s birthday, November 9th, 2008. Jordan was anxious to have Morgan join him in their new home at Patrick AFB as soon as she could be transferred from her reserve unit at Travis AFB.
