What happens when a bank fails? You’ll find out in our lead story Sunday. 60 Minutes cameras and correspondent Scott Pelley are there when the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation surprises the employees of suburban Chicago’s Heritage Community Bank when they arrive on a Friday night to take over their failing firm.

Then we look at why more and more convicts are being exonerated by DNA evidence. The answer, reports correspondent Lesley Stahl, is that the vast majority of them had cases against them based partially on mistaken eyewitness testimony.

Watch an extended excerpt.

Those stories, and Andy Rooney honors heroes, on this Sunday’s 60 Minutes, March 8 at 7 p.m. ET/PT
