Go to www.INTHEIRBOOTS.com to see our brand new film, "Fractured Minds." When you get there, you’ll notice that their new website is gorgeous. The homepage has three sliding bars that will help you access the three main features of the site. The first one will always have their most recent episode or trailer.
The second will take you to their ever-growing (and now reorganized) database of resources for service members, veterans, and their families. The third tab will take you to the latest news about their 2009 National Tour!
This brings me to their new schedule. Instead of breaking up our documentaries, and showing you a new chapter each week, they have decided to save them up and give you a whole new film during the third week of each month. They will still be available for free at www.INTHEIRBOOTS.com.
In addition to the online release of the 10 films they will produce this year, they are taking their series on the road for a national tour to raise awareness for the challenges service members, veteran’s and their families face, and to galvanize support for the solutions to those challenges in communities across America.
The tour kicked off last month with the world premiere screening of "Broken Promise" in San Francisco. The film (which is awesome if you haven’t seen it yet) is also available at www.INTHEIRBOOTS.com, and you can get a recap of the screening event in San Francisco on their tour page.
The next stop on the tour was Wednesday night in Houston, where they debuted "Fractured Minds." At IN THEIR BOOTS, they feel that they have a great season ahead, and all of their films from last season are still available under the episodes tab on their website.
So take a spin around www.INTHEIRBOOTS.com and enjoy the first two episodes of season two.

In Their Boots is a documentary series about the impact the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are having on people here at home. Every episode features a documentary about how America’s servicemen and women, their families, and our communities have been profoundly changed by our nation’s campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. Shot on location throughout the country, these stories stress the courage of our participants, and the valor of the people and organizations that help our heroes on their journey.
Journalist and writer, Tina Malave, is this season’s host. After each story Ms. Malave will interview the participants featured in the documentary and lead a discussion that digs deeper into the issues affecting veterans, servicemembers and military families.
Telling these stories and sharing these interviews are only part of the mission of In Their Boots. This website is also a rich resource with links to scores of organizations that support veterans, servicemembers and their families. In addition, it’s a place for interested viewers to find volunteer opportunities in the veteran community.
