Myrtle Beach

An Albany, N.Y., pastor has offered to pitch in $10,000 of his own money to up the reward for information regarding Brittanee Drexel, a missing 17-year-old from Rochester, N.Y.
Pastor Charles Muller of Victory Christian Church said he regularly works with teens in his community through mission centers and anti-violence projects. However, when he read about Drexel, who went missing April 25 during a trip to Myrtle Beach, it hit close to home.
"
"My daughter’s 17, and when I saw it it just touched my heart,” said the 51-year-old.
Muller’s offer comes on the heels of a $1,000 reward offered from Crime Stoppers of the Lowcountry for information related to Drexel said Frank Morea, spokesman for the organization.
Muller said he hopes a higher reward offering might spur some action.
"Sometimes when it’s been a little while and things are cold it might get somebody thinking, `I did see something’ or someone might talk,” Muller said. "Sometimes, money talks.”
The pastor also encourages others to chip in and raise awareness for the Drexel case.
"I’m just hoping others would join in and we could really get some news,” he said.
