App allows members to access bank accounts, place trades, and handle insurance from anywhere at anytime.

USAA is offering its nearly seven million members the most comprehensive array of mobile financial services available with the launch of "USAA Mobile App," an innovative new iPhone application. The free app is the first to allow customers to manage a combination of banking, insurance, and investment services accounts on a single, safe, and secure platform.

"This application gives our members the most convenient mobile financial services tool in the market today," said Jeff Dennes, executive director of eBusiness at USAA. "With nearly seven million members of the military and their families as customers, it’s mission-critical for us to enable them to be ready to control and manage all of their accounts anytime, anywhere."

"Our USAA Mobile App goes beyond traditional banking transactions such as bill pay and fund transfers. It also enables users to make stock trades, retrieve a digital copy of their auto insurance ID card1 and get tips and instructions for handling an accident situation," added Dennes. In addition, iPhone geolocation technology enables location-specific features such as getting roadside assistance, finding a nearby ATM and rental car services.

Last year, members contacted USAA 474 million times through various channels. The USAA Mobile App adds another key piece in the company’s ongoing effort to help members access their accounts, on their terms, anytime, anywhere. Since launching its mobile services platform last summer, USAA has had more than 13 million log ins. Currently, 11.4% of USAA customers are using mobile services, an adoption rate that is more than three times greater than leading banks report.
