THE “SILENT COUP”….IT AIN’T JUST ABOUT TORTURE – IT’S ABOUT “CHENEY”

Over a year ago one of my friends was arrested for, what was said to be terrorism. I sometimes run with the “Neocon” crowd and this was one of those guys, a friend of President Reagan’s. This was a guy who prays before breakfast and drives the speed limit.
When the “superseding indictment” was read, nothing about terrorism was in it. The charge was “money laundering” and a pile of conspiracy and obstruction charges. The real crime? He received a totally legal payment from a UN NGO (Non-Governmental Organization….the Red Cross is one of these) that may have owed money to the State Department.
MY FRIENDS LAWYER IS A FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES, NOT “COMMIE” RAMSEY CLARK BUT EDWIN MEESE, ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN. CAN YOU GUESS THAT THEY GUYS WHO INDICTED MY FRIEND WERE UNCONFIRMED GONZALES APPOINTEES TIED TO THE TORTURE SCANDAL?
WOULD RUSH LIMBAUGH AND THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION BE TIED TO TERRORISM? THINK “CHENEY,” SELF APPOINTED GOD OF INCOMPETENCE.
How could a likeable goof like George W. Bush become the least popular president in American history? Other than executing a pile of poor and probably innocent people in Texas, he is really a funny guy, “ha ha funny,” not that other funny. Ok, he may be that too but that’s not important now. So, what led us down this road of torture, attacking the wrong people and trying to legalize crime in the name of insanity?
America woke up a few months ago and found most of the money in the country had mysteriously disappeared. We also woke up to find our military telling us that the war on terror had been sidetracked for years by Iraq and that Afghanistan had become hopeless.
The Taliban is at war to take over Pakistan, a country with dozens of nuclear weapons. How could we have missed this?
I can tell you.
Bush, a man who never held a full time job of any kind, a man with little self confidence and a very special way of murdering the English language had “deputized” Dick Cheney to act as President of the United States after 9/11. Bush held office in name only but illegally turned over his office to the Vice President without resigning.
What did Cheney do?
Cheney took over the CIA, initially thru “hand puppet” George Tenet, (his book tells of this)and the military, all quite unconstitutional, all quite illegal and all quite outside the chain of command.
The “vice president” has no power to order anyone to do anything. The President can’t just hand off his office to anyone on the street, even if it is the Vice President. It just ain’t legal.
If the issue of torture has to be the one thing that sends all this crackpots and fools to jail, not stealing billions or trillions of dollars, potential treason of falsified intelligence and an “illegal as hell” war or worse, then let torture send them away.
If you want law and order, then have it.
If you want to blame Bush, then do so. Blame him for turning the country over to someone, except for being born “white,” should have been running a street gang and a string of “meth” labs.
