NORFOLK, Va. – Virginia 2nd District Congressman Glenn Nye announced Wednesday that he will host a Hampton Roads Veterans Job Fair on July 2nd.
The Job Fair, scheduled from Noon to 5:00pm, will be held at VFW Post 4809, 5728 Bartee Street in Norfolk.
"Our veterans leave the military with skills and experience that can be incredibly valuable in the private sector. A lot of business owners in Hampton Roads are veterans themselves, so they know the value of hiring other vets," said Congressman Nye in a statement.
According to Nye’s office, 24 local employers will participate in the fair, including BAE Systems, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Farm Fresh, and the cities of Virginia Beach and Hampton.
Resume counseling and interview training sessions will also be conducted during the event.
