HOLYOKE – The first statewide Conference for Women Veterans held Saturday at Holyoke Community College drew some 150 participants from throughout Massachusetts, organizers said.

The free one-day event for women veterans and their families, sponsored by the Women Veterans’ Network, provided information and networking through workshops and exhibits.

"We have women here who served in World War II and women who were recently in Iraq and Afghanistan," said Heidi R. Kruckenberg, director of the Women Veterans’ Network.
