Here is some background information on the First and Second Continental Congresses that led up to the Declaration of Independence and our eventual rebellious war with Britain, which of course led to independence. I grew up in Philadelphia and have been aquainted with the "real" story of the 4th of July most of my life. There is some surprises in here! Enjoy.
