LOCAL MUSEUM IN TOLEDO OHIO HAS MISPLACED 2 ACTUAL AIRCRAFT

HELP US LOCATE THESE MISSING PLANES

By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER

In association with Congressional Representative Marcy Kaptur, local museums, veterans groups, the Smithsonian, the Tennessee Historical Society, the Toledo Museum of Art, the Medal of Honor Society and other museums and groups around the country, we ask for you help.

I know we are stretching the limits of "carelessness."  This isn’t like losing your keys but we are now missing 2 entire aircraft, last seen hanging from the ceiling of a former local military/veterans museum, then stored for the reopening.

These items are to be considered for display in the new VA Regional Medical Center connected to the University of Toledo School of Medicine.  We are deeply embarassed.  We have already started a search for our missing Medals of Honor, also misplaced somewhere.

MORE MISSING:

Our list, thus far, includes 6500 guns, flags, medals, uniforms up to and including a gattling gun, hundreds of muskets (guns) and several famous paintings by artists like Gilbert Gaul and Carolyn Ransom.  All are the property of the local museum authority and were lost in transit somewhere.

IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT: Gordon Duff [email protected] or Dan Foote [email protected] .   Ohio veterans are grateful for your help on this project.
