The Washington Post reports this morning that although Pakistan has promised to pursue Taliban insurgents within its borders and eradicate them before they slip back into Afghanistan, this is being put on hold due to traditional military distrust of India. The army does not want to move because they fear it will weaken their position relative to India, a traditional national enemy. The story is here.
