Is Doctor Mengele In The House? NY Times Reports Abuse Was Tightly Controlled From Washington.

Today’s New York Times reports that contrary to recent reports of rogue contract interrogators going wild and abusing and killing detainees, the recent CIA internal report read by the Justice Department and the Attorney General shows that every facet of a detainees life was controlled by Washington bureaucrats and CIA "professionals".  This article may make you wince, medical people were involved in the torture.  Is Doctor Mengele in the house?  He would be very, very proud this morning.

We have now officially and without doubt adopted the ways of the Nazis and inculcated them into our intelligence operations.  We methodically, consistently and routinely torture people using medical personnel, psychologists and brute force to break down the human personality and extract information.  That much is certain now.  It is beyond dispute.  The O.S.S. which became the CIA has morphed into the S.S.  Henrich Himmler would be quite proud of this.

"Land of the free and home of the brave"?  I think not.

"A government of the people, by the people and for the people"?  I think not.

"One nation under God"?  No.

"God bless America"?  What do you think our chances are that He would do that now?  If He actually exists at all, he is puking His guts out right now.

"My country ’tis of thee, sweet Land of Liberty…"?  No way.

Inscription on the Statue of Liberty:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breath free;
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless,
Tempest-tossed to me
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame is the imprisoned lightning,
And her name, Mother of Exiles.
From her beacon-hand glows world-wide welcome;
Her mild eyes command the air-bridged harbor
That twin cities frame.
"Keep, Ancient Lands, your storied pomp!"
Cries she with silent lips.

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breath free;
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless,
Tempest-tossed to me
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

If we have any honor left in us, even one ounce, we will take that plaque down from the Statue today.  We don’t deserve to have such things said about us.

CWO3 Tom Barnes, USCG (Ret.)
