Mormon Church, Don't Fear It, Blast It

The Mormon Church—the mere mention of the church and its doctrine is now associated (justifiably) with bigotry and hate, an authoritarian array of imbecilities so crazed that even rightwing Christians shun these guys for being absurd.

Puritanical and dogmatic, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will occupy a place in civil rights infamy rivaling that of George Wallace when last year—following God’s instructions of course—the church poured in millions of dollars and thousands of hours of manpower to win passage of anti-Gay propositions in California and Arizona.

Offically sanctioned racism, sexism, a whole bunch of hate-filled lunacies mark this energetic, social-engineering cult, though as its creeds become well-known God suddenly alerts the church that it’s time to change. 

Mormons, think a Mormon mafia running CIA torture programs, having long penetrated the agency to the chagrin of American veterans who blast the Mormon missionaries peppered with CIA folk as "assholes."

Look back here for details in the coming days, but for this Sunday consider that these billion-dollar bunch of assholes mean business in remaking America.

Think American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America but the Mormon cult is more financially and politically powerful than Christian dominionists, and more ambitious in remaking America—ruled from Missouri (that’s part of what they believe) and insistant that those liberty-loving nonbelievers are heading for the pits of hell.
